I was thinking that this place looks like old mining works and those banks are rather steep. I am sure there are plenty of dangerous bits to remove from any run before it is deemed safe enough. The problem is you guys do not necessarily mark out the entire route so some self exploring is required and you need to make sure the route does not go too close to these dams.
