RE: Trying out a "French Taco" in Da Nang, Vietnam

So the fries are what make it "French"? I kind of expected it to be on a baguette or something. You definitely need to have the right ratio of fries to the rest of the ingredients. I have only been to a couple Greek places, but I don't think I have ever seen them put french fries in something. I usually get a traditional gyro though, so that could be why.

I don't know if the fries are standard but they are over here and I think it is just a cheap ingredient to fill up the bread or tortilla. They compensate for the dryness by putting way too much sauce on it.

I believe it is only called a french taco because the first place it was served was somewhere in France. Honestly, it tastes so similar to a lot of other wraps that it is indistinguishable from other similar items.

Ah, okay, that makes sense!
