RE: My first experience with steak Diana

I have never heard of this before either. I am glad it ended up being something that you enjoyed. The potatoes look good. I am a sucker for good mashed potatoes. I used to eat just a packet of the instant ones for dinner sometimes when I was a young bachelor! Six beers would likely put you over $30 even during happy hour at Applebee's. Prices are just nuts these days. When my wife and I get dinner to go it is usually close to $50 these days that and that is without drinks. We had a gift card for Olive Garden we used this weekend so our tab was only $13, but that is rare!

People bag on Olive Garden constantly and ok, it has been a really long time since I went to an Olive Garden but I remember always enjoying it.

My bachelor go to was frozen chicken pot pies that were something crazy like 30 cents each. They tasted a lot better if you put them in the oven but we both know that this is beyond the patience realm of a college student. Nuke the hell out of it and then very carefully approach eating it because it is going to be melt your face off hot!

Olive Garden is kind of where my wife and I went on our first date so it has always kind of been our place. We enjoy the food but we don't go nearly as often as we used to. The pot pies sound interesting!

Next time you are in your magnificent American grocery stores (seriously, USA really wins in that category) check them out to see if frozen pot pies are still a thing. I believe they were made by Stouffers if I am spelling that correctly. They are probably a couple of dollars now but they always hit the spot back when I was in college.

Oh yeah, they are still around. Never had the pot pies, but their frozen lasagna and French bread pizzas are the best!

Those frozen lasagnas, what I wouldn't do for one of those. Those are so well-made that I once worked in an Italian restaurant many years ago and "our" lasagna was simply Stouffers with our home sauce and more cheese put on top. It sold like crazy too.
