Pidie Regency the place where I live is known as the district with the second largest population in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Just for your information, the top place with the largest population is North Aceh regency. According to Wikipedia, the population of Pidie at the end of 2023 is 444,898 people, with a population density of 181 people/km2. Located opposite the Strait of Malacca in the northern part, this district is known for its history of struggle against the invasion of European countries, the Portuguese who came and were greeted with armed resistance confrontation.
The long history of the resistance of the Pidie people to the Portuguese invasion will not be discussed in this post. As the matter of fact, this is my first post in the ASEANHIVE Community. The community is inhabited by many hivers friends from Southeast Asian countries. It's been a long time I’d wanted to make comeback on this platform after being absent for the last two years. As you find me here, this community is my choice to be active again on a platform that always spreads positive vibes from its activists.
Through this post, I would like to share about KUALA PIDIE (Sea Mouth Of Pidie)which in recent years has experienced quite significant development. My activity tomorrow morning began by taking some pictures from the Benteng bridge. “Benteng” is a residential area that is mostly inhabited by military families who have served in Pidie for a long time. From this Bridge, I took some pictures using the camera of the SAMSUNG A52 Mobile Phone to support this post. The activity of fishermen in the morning that sailing by engine boat (As seen in the picture). Traditional boats are also still predominantly used by fishermen to sail the Malacca Strait. Here are some captured of the fishermen activities both fishing in the river by sitting on its bank and fishermen with boat goes to the sea.
