An amazing SUNRISE in Chalong Bay Pier

First, let's set the mood for this post with the Thai song ทะเลแสนงาม I learned in kindergarten 😊 🎶 Oh! that the sea is blue, the bright blue sky overlooking a sailing ship sailing in the sea, sandy beach, there are crabs on the beach, keep your eyes on the fish, shrimps, shells, crabs, fish, they are in the sea.🎶

When I was a child, my village was filled with mountains and waterfalls. At that time, I had never seen the sea once. At school, my teacher taught me to sing this song. Then, to be able to touch the sandy beach with my little hands, to feel the wind of the coast in my hair, and to hear the soft sound of the waves of the sea, became a beautiful dream.

And then a childhood dream became a reality. I am lucky to have a welcoming home with a warm family on one of the wonderful islands of our planet. No need to be on vacation and booking plane tickets or booking hotels to have access to incredible places, I just have to open the door, get in the car, and a few minutes later the child that I was has his eyes that start to sparkle.

🎶 โอ้! ทะเลแสนงาม ฟ้าสีครามสดใส มองเห็นเรือใบ แล่นอยู่ในทะเล 🎶 อยากจะร้องให้จบเดี๋ยวมีปัญหา เอาแค่นี้พอ แค่นี้ก็ยังเสียวๆ เพราะเคยโดนมาแล้ว 555 ใครที่ผ่านช่วงวัยเด็ก วัยเรียนมาแล้วต้องรู้จักเพลงนี้ดีแน่นอน เพราะครูจะสอนร้องและเต้นประกอบเพลงไปด้วย ฟังแล้วก็นึกอยากจะไปเที่ยวทะเล เกิดมาไม่เคยเห็นทะเล เพราะบ้านมีแต่เขา มีแต่น้ำตก ก็อยากจะสัมผัสหาดทราย สายลม และคลื่นทะเลซัดเข้าหาตัว ไม่นึกไม่ฝันว่าจะได้มาอยู่เกาะ มีบ้านและครอบครัวที่อบอุ่นที่นี่ ใจแค่คิดว่าได้มาอันดามันสักครั้งก็ดีแล้ว อยู่ที่นี่จะไปทะเลเมื่อไหร่ก็ด้ายยยยย..... ไม่ต้องวุ่นวายจองตั๋วเครื่องบิน จองโรงแรม ก็เลยไม่ค่อยได้ไป 555

This morning I woke up at 5 o'clock, which is a bit early for a Sunday 🤣 So I thought it would be a good idea to go to Chalong Bay Pier to watch the sunrise, I had wanted to do that for a long time.

Surprisingly, just after I got ready and before I even asked him, my husband who had woken up before me offered to come with me. After taking his shower and preparing his cameras we left the house around 5.45 am. Currently, the sun rises around 6.20/6.30 am, and Chalong Bay Pier is about 25 minutes away from the house.

เมื่อเช้าตื่นมาตอนตี 5 จู่ๆ ใจมันก็อยากจะไปดูพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นที่ท่าเรือฉลอง บัวก็เตรียมแต่งตัวเรียบร้อยพร้อมออก สานางนึกไงไม่รู้จะไปด้วย ตอนแรกบัวไม่ชวนเพราะตั้งแต่ปีใหม่มาป่วยกันทั้งบ้าน แต่นางไปด้วยก็ดีจะได้ไม่ต้องขับรถเอง นางก็ใช้เวลาเตรียมและเช็คกล้องนิดหน่อย พวกเราถึงท่าเรือประมาณ 6 โมงเช้า พระอาทิตย์กำลังขึ้นพอดี มาได้จังหวะพอดี

Phuket is an island with a large mountain area in its center, the highest point is Mae Thao Sip Song Mountain with its 515 meters. If you look around from one of these high places, you will have a wonderful sea view and be able to see a lot of sailboats in the distance.

Chalong Bay Pier is 11 kilometers from Phuket Town and is located on the East coast of the island, a perfect place to see the sunrise. The highlight here is not the beauty of the sea or the beach but is a port that stretches into the sea to transport tourists who want to cross to various islands such as Koh Hey, Koh Racha Yai. Nearby there will be shops, souvenir shops, restaurants to serve tourists as well. It is also a public exercise facility, in the morning and the evening, people walk and jog here.

ภูเก็ตเป็นเกาะที่มีภูเขาสลับน้อยใหญ่ ทำให้มีจุดชมวิวทะเลสวยๆ หลายแห่ง บางจุดสามารถมองเห็นเรือใบจอดทอดสมออยู่ในทะเล ส่วนที่นี่เป็นท่าเรืออ่าวฉลอง ซึ่งมีสะพานทอดยาวไปในทะเลถึง 720 เมตร ก็เกือบๆ จะกิโลได้ ผู้คนนิยมมาออกกำลังกายวิ่งบ้าง เดินบ้าง ท่าเรือนี้ห่างจากตัวเมืองภูเก็ต 11 กิโลเมตรเท่านั้นเอง เดินทางสะดวกมากๆ

Just before the end of the pier is a beautiful doughnut-shaped building where you can stop and relax while waiting for your boat. We didn't notice it but in fact, the building was right between us and the sunrise so it took us a few moments to realize that the sun was already insight and that we still had a good part of the 750 meters of the pier to cover before we could take a picture of the sunrise. When we arrived the sun was already fully visible.

It's an amazing picture taken from the end of the pier, thanks to the few clouds present we have for the sunrise of the day gorgeous colors, the sun seems to have come straight out of the water. The background is the sea and the ships are anchored.

ปลายสุดของสะพานก็จะมีอาคารไว้สำหรับนั่งพักผ่อน หรือรอขึ้นเรือ บัวกับสาไปช้าเพราะคิดว่าถ้ามองจากหัวสะพานจะเห็นตอนพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น ก็เลยไม่รีบเร่ง แต่พระอาทิตย์ดันขึ้นตรงอีอาคารนี้พอดิบพอดี บัวก็เลยต้องรีบเดิน แต่มันก็จะเสียเวลาอยู่หน่อยๆ เพราะสะพานมีความยาวเกือบ 1 กิโลเมตร

The first boats take the sea offering a wonderful show, the activity of the port starts quietly.

พอไปถึงเท่านั้นแหล่ะถึงกับตะลึง ตึง.... ตึง.... ต้องร้อง ว้าว!!!!..... ว้าว!!!!..... ว้าว!!!!..... ถึง 3 ว้าว!!!!..... กันเลยทีเดียว คือมันสวยม๊วกกกกก..... วิวสวยๆ แบบเน้.... หาซื้อไม่ได้จากช้อปปี้ หรือลาซาด้านาจา อยากได้ต้องออกมาเที่ยวเอง

From the floating platform I find the show even more exceptional, what a good thing I woke up early! What better way to start the day than with this dazzling show!

Many sailboat owners come to anchor here for a few days and generally have a very pleasant stay.

The pleasure of my husband's day, taking a picture of me when I take a picture of the landscape. I don't know where he gets all his ideas but you can say that he knows how to surprise me and make me laugh too. 🤣

การได้ออกเที่ยวดูพระอาทิตย์ขึ้น เป็นเรื่องที่ยากสำหรับบัว แม้จะเป็นนอนตื่นเช้าก็ตาม แต่ตื่นเช้ามาก็จะสาละวนอยู่กับแมวกับสวน แต่เพราะการได้เขียนโพสต์ทำให้สามารถรวบรวมพลังแรงกาย และแรงใจ ฮึบ.....ฮึบ..... ออกไปสัมผัสโลกกว้าง เช้าๆ อากาศริมทะเลคือดีม๊วกกกกก..... ได้สูดโอโซนบริสุทธิ์ การได้มองดูพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นจากน้ำช้าๆ เห็นเรือใบจอดทอดสมออยู่ริมทะเล นี่มันคือความฝันในวัยเด็กไม่ใช่หรอ เมื่อมีโอกาศก็จงคว้ามันไว้

Many mini-buses shuttle to the end of the pier, bringing tourists and port employees with their equipment.

Did you notice who is watching us from the top of the hill in the background? No idea?

And yes it is Big Buddha a few kilometers from here, for those who would have missed its visit it is here: Paying respects to the Big Buddha, Phuket.

The speedboats shuttling between the islands start their rotation with as first passengers a Buddhist monk and some tourists.

My passion that is the flowers is also part of the game! I'm really lucky this morning with an abundance of color, I would have really taken it in!

All I have to do now is satisfy my stomach and everything will have been perfect this morning. 😋

I have a feeling I'll be back on this flowered pier very soon.
