My Hubby's DIY Recycled Plastic Racks for our Laundry Area

Hello!
How is everyone out there? Perhaps busy preparing for Christmas?

As for me , I am just a bit busy with the usual daily tasks at home and for a small preparation for Christmas Eve. As I mentioned in my previous blog, most household chores I did at home were indoors. My husband does the cleaning outside including the laundry and washing some kitchen cooking tools like cooking pots, pans, and casseroles.

We clean and wash all these kitchen items outside the house while kitchen utensils like spoon, fork, plates, and others are in the sink inside the house.

As I was helping him with some of the cleaning outside, I saw the plastic racks for the dishwashing items, our fur baby's shampoo, and the laundry detergent and fabric conditioner were already broken and damaged. So, I requested my husband to do a DIY plastic rack for them.

I still had two plastic bottles of fabric conditioner, so I showed them to him and asked if he could utilize them for the rack or holder.

I was glad when he said yes. Right then and there, he got some of his cutting tools and soldering tools.

First, he removed the label of the plastic bottles and then he cut the opening of the bottles.

Then, he cut some portion of the body and made some holes in different shapes for aesthetic purposes. And then, he made some small holes at the bottom using his soldering iron, so water would freely flow from the rack.

After forming the racks, he put them on the wall by screwing them. I was so happy to see the result. It is now clean and new even though he made them using recycled plastic bottles.

This is how they look in our laundry area now.

Sharing this little thing with you here makes me feel delightful.

This will be all for today and thank you so much for sparing your time in reading my post. God bless us all.
