Hi everyone!!
Let’s all have a crispylicious snacks fellow Hivers!
I cooked some crispy banana fritters for our afternoon snacks yesterday. It is one of our daily routine to have an afternoon snack during my daughter's break from work.
We all love bananas of any kind; and for the plantain, we all like any ways of cooking it like the various style of fritters, boiled, grilled or ginanggang (grilled in charcoal) and toron (wrapped in lumpia wrappers). This time, it's cheesy crispylicious banana fritters. This is how it was prepared and cooked.
Cheesy and Crispylicious Banana Fritters
INGREDIENTS:
•Banana Plantain
•Flour
•Cheese
•Butter
•Evaporated Milk or Fresh Milk
•Sugar
•Salt
•Canola Oil
PREPARATION:
Wash and peel off banana peels.
Slice them in half and then set aside.
Now, let's do the batter.
Pour in flour slowly and gradually into the milk in a bowl.
Stir occasionally and add a pinch of salt and 3 tbsp white sugar.
Then gradually add slices of banana plantain into the milk mixture.
Let's now prepare the pan or cooker!
COOKING TIME:
Heat some canola oil in the pan.
Put the coated banana plantain in the heated cooking oil one by one. Just 5 pieces in every load.
Cook both sides of the banana on low to medium heat.
When it's already cooked remove it from the pan and transfer it to the draining rack to remove the oil then brush the cooked banana with some butter and transfer it to a plate or serving platter.
Repeat the process until all the banana plantains are already cooked and brushed with butter.
Then sprinkle some cheese. We only have cheddar cheese, but any kind of cheese will do.
So, this is it...
I'll be cooking banana toron soon because we still have some banana plantain and spring roll or lumpia wrappers left at home. I would like to share it with you here soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. God bless us all!
This is something different about cooking bananas in a different way and I never tried this one maybe I could cook this one myself in the future because one of my favorite in a banana is the TURON that is banana that is wrap in a lumpia wrapper.
Yes we can cook banana plantain in a various ways.. and that's the goodness in it. Banana toron is one of my fave too and I am planning to cook maybe tomorrow for our afternoon snacks since we still have some bananas and lumpia wrapper.
