Hoy estábamos haciendo un pedido de hermosos lazos, y pasaron algunas cosas interesantes.
En la mañana muy temprano fuimos a comprar la tela y los materiales necesarios para los lazos. Es un pedido de 10 lazos medianos.
Debíamos conseguir un tono en color marrón, por lo que primero nos confundimos.
Esta tela en específico se ve muy diferente de acuerdo a la exposición de la luz. De forma que tardamos un poco en conseguirla.
Luego seguimos caminando, documentando el precio de cada una de las telas que usamos, así como otros materiales, para actualizar los costos en nuestra tabla de Google Sheets.

Today we were placing an order for beautiful bows, and some interesting things happened.
Very early in the morning we went to buy the fabric and the necessary materials for the bows. This is an order of 10 medium bows.
We had to get a brown tone, so at first we got confused.
This specific fabric looks very different depending on the light exposure. So it took us a while to get it.
Then we kept walking, documenting the price of each of the fabrics we used, as well as other materials, to update the costs in our Google Sheets table.

Medimos, cortamos, quemamos la tela (esto es importante para evitar que se deshilache; nos gusta entregar un producto bien terminado y duradero), cosemos y colocamos los detalles.

And when we arrived we started working.

Por lo general, yo solo mido y corto la tela. Mi hermana se encarga de todo lo demás porque ella lo domina mejor. Pero, en esta ocasión, sí me encargué de realizar más actividades.

I usually just measure and cut the fabric. My sister takes care of everything else because she knows it better. But, on this occasion, I did take charge of carrying out more activities.
Una de ellas es a la que le huí: Darles forma a los lazos.
Lo que ves aquí en esta foto soy yo, jalando el hilo y moldeando la tela para que quede muy bonito el lazo.
Se ve fácil al principio, hasta que lo intentas. La primera vez que lo hice, quedó sin forma y chueco. Desde ese momento le dejé ese trabajo a mi hermana, porque lo que nos importa es que se entregue un producto de calidad.
Sin embargo, hoy teníamos varias actividades; mi hermana no podía hacerlo todo.
Al principio pensé que quizás no podría hacerlo. Este lazo nunca lo había hecho. Pero, en cuanto tomé el primero, me quedó hermoso. Luego fui por el segundo, y así consecutivamente.
Cuando me había dado cuenta, había hecho varios lazos hermosos.
Le perdí el miedo a darle forma a los lazos, y junto con ello desbloqueé una habilidad que nos ayudará a trabajar más rápido. Debido a que en la tienda online todo se hace a mano.
Así que poco a poco voy sumando más habilidades; ahora no solo he aprendido a coser lazos y scrunchies, sino que también sé armar preciosos lazos.
Por ello admiro mucho a mi hermana; ella los hace, todo le queda precioso. Les dedica paciencia y mucho cariño.
Me impresiona cómo un trozo de tela es capaz de transformarlo; es simplemente hermoso de ver.
De forma que, mientras la veía, me preguntaba cómo lo lograba. Hoy lo entendí, y sí, hay que tener paciencia, pero también mucha práctica.
Porque esta no es la primera vez que lo intento; han sido un montón, solo que por lo general me doy por vencida, más que todo debido a que son muchos intentos. Pero hoy ha dado frutos tanto intentar.

One of them is the one I ran away from: Shaping the ties.
What you see here in this photo is me, pulling the thread and shaping the fabric so that the bow looks very pretty.
It looks easy at first, until you try it. The first time I made it, it was shapeless and crooked. From that moment on I left that job to my sister, because what matters to us is that a quality product is delivered.
However, today we had several activities; My sister couldn't do it all.
At first I thought maybe I couldn't do it. I had never done this bond before. But, as soon as I took the first one, it looked beautiful. Then I went for the second, and so on.
Before I realized it, I had made several beautiful bows.
I lost my fear of shaping ties, and along with it I unlocked a skill that will help us work faster. Because in the online store everything is made by hand.
So little by little I am adding more skills; Now I have not only learned how to sew bows and scrunchies, but I also know how to put together beautiful bows.
That's why I admire my sister a lot; She makes them, everything looks beautiful on her. He dedicates patience and a lot of love to them.
It impresses me how a piece of fabric is able to transform it; It is simply beautiful to see.
So, as I watched it, I wondered how he did it. Today I understood it, and yes, you have to be patient, but also a lot of practice.
Because this is not the first time I have tried it; There have been a lot, I just usually give up, mostly because there are so many attempts. But today so much trying has paid off.

El trabajo ha valido la pena, los lazos quedaron genial... Te entiendo perfectamente al momento de no atreverse a hacer algo porque se reconoce que no se es tan hábil, y aunque es importante reconocer que tenemos límites es aún más genial descubrir que siempre se puede aprender algo y mejorar...
PD: mantenerse al día con los precios de la materia prima es vital en todo emprendimiento.
