Building a Support Network as an Entrepreneur// Crear una red de apoyo como empresario [ENG-ESP]

Happy New Year great entrepreneurs, It is another great year to set things straight and to create strategies to amass the wealth of the nations, I really hope you all have map out strategic goals to increase financially this year. Once again welcome to the year 2025.

If you are honest enough to have some thoughts about the previous year, you will agree with me that there were some difficult challenges you had faced and you were able to overcome alone while to some extent you found it difficult to solve some of the challenges alone but it was easier to solve when you shared it with likeminded people.

The thing is, as entrepreneurs you need to let go the mindset of thinking that you can do it all alone, I know it is your business, it is your enterprise but No! you can not do it alone, you need people, not just any kind of people but likeminded and supportive people around you .

As an entrepreneur, building a successful business can be a challenging and isolating experience mostly for people who are beginners however, having a strong support network can make all the difference. Most times we encounter some challenges in the course of our business, you may feel like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.

You may be hesitant to share your fears, doubts, and worries and setbacks with others, fearing that they will think you're not capable of running a successful business. No! My dear that is a wrong mindset, it is for people who do not aim high.

Just like the saying “a tree cannot make a forest on it’s own” the same is applicable in business, when you share your business challenges with people who do the same business or people who are making it better in the business field you receive encouragement, guidance, and motivation you need to overcome the challenges of entrepreneurship.

When I mean sharing your business challenges with people, I do not mean just any kind of people but business minded people, and people who do better than you in business, by doing so you tend to gain new insights and perspectives on your business, not just gaining insight but you get to learn from their successes and failures and that will help you thrive successfully.

Some people will give excuses like; “I do not know any business minded person I could rely on”, “I am scared of letting people know about the ups and downs in my business”, I don’t want to be seen as a an incompetent person” all these excuses people give every day and prefer to die in silence.

Well to some extent I see your points but there are not valid excuses. If you are scared of relating with people about your business challenges I will advise you join online communities. Joining online communities, forums, and social media groups can connect you with other entrepreneurs who share similar interests and challenges. These communities can provide a sense of connection, support, and motivation you need for your business. Just Participate in actively in discussions, share your experiences, and connect with others.

Maybe you would say “I am not a social media freak, I don’t like spending time on social media…..” . Notwithstanding, I understand and accept the kind of personality you are but there is still an option for you which is to avail yourself, it’s a change you need right? Then you need to make out time to attend conferences, workshops, and networking events. You can’t stay in your house or business place and see a change, attending these events can provide opportunities to connect with other entrepreneurs, mentors, and potential partners.

One of the key strategies to making more income out of your business is collaboration which I will tell you more in my next post. You do not need partners for ideas alone but people who can take the business to places without you and which is also to your own advantage. This is also a business network you must create.

Remember, doing the same thing every day, every year and all the time will always yield the same result, if you need a change then you must step up and do something different this year. Don't be afraid to reach out, ask for help, and build the support network you need to succeed as an entrepreneur.

Si eres lo suficientemente honesto como para reflexionar sobre el año anterior, estarás de acuerdo conmigo en que te enfrentaste a algunos retos difíciles y que pudiste superarlos solo, mientras que en cierta medida te resultó difícil resolver algunos de los retos solo, pero fue más fácil resolverlos cuando los compartiste con personas de ideas afines.

La cuestión es que, como empresarios, tenéis que dejar de pensar que podéis hacerlo todo solos. Sé que es vuestro negocio, vuestra empresa, pero no podéis hacerlo solos, necesitáis gente, no cualquier tipo de gente, sino gente con ideas afines y que os apoye.

Como empresario, crear una empresa de éxito puede ser una experiencia difícil y aislante, sobre todo para los principiantes, pero contar con una sólida red de apoyo puede marcar la diferencia. La mayoría de las veces nos encontramos con algunos retos en el transcurso de nuestro negocio, puede que sientas que llevas el peso del mundo sobre tus hombros.

Puede que vaciles a la hora de compartir tus miedos, dudas, preocupaciones y contratiempos con los demás, temiendo que piensen que no eres capaz de llevar un negocio con éxito. No. Querida, esa es una mentalidad equivocada, es para personas que no apuntan alto.

Al igual que el dicho «un árbol no puede hacer un bosque por sí solo» lo mismo es aplicable en los negocios, cuando compartes tus retos empresariales con personas que hacen el mismo negocio o personas que lo están haciendo mejor en el campo de los negocios recibes el aliento, la orientación y la motivación que necesitas para superar los retos de la iniciativa empresarial.

Cuando me refiero a compartir los retos de tu negocio con otras personas, no me refiero a cualquier tipo de personas, sino a personas con mentalidad empresarial y a personas a las que les va mejor que a ti en los negocios. Al hacerlo, tiendes a obtener nuevas ideas y perspectivas sobre tu negocio, y no sólo a obtener ideas, sino a aprender de sus éxitos y fracasos, lo que te ayudará a prosperar con éxito.

Algunas personas pondrán excusas como: «No conozco a ninguna persona con mentalidad empresarial en la que pueda confiar», «Me da miedo que la gente se entere de los altibajos de mi negocio», «No quiero que me vean como un incompetente», todas estas excusas las pone la gente todos los días y prefiere morir en silencio.

Bueno, hasta cierto punto entiendo tus argumentos, pero no son excusas válidas. Si tienes miedo de relacionarte con la gente sobre los retos de tu negocio te aconsejo que te unas a comunidades online. Unirse a comunidades en línea, foros y grupos de redes sociales puede ponerte en contacto con otros empresarios que comparten intereses y retos similares. Estas comunidades pueden proporcionarte la sensación de conexión, apoyo y motivación que necesitas para tu negocio. Sólo tienes que participar activamente en los debates, compartir tus experiencias y conectar con los demás.

Tal vez digas: «No soy un fanático de las redes sociales, no me gusta pasar tiempo en ellas.....». No obstante, comprendo y acepto tu tipo de personalidad, pero aún tienes una opción: aprovechar tu tiempo, es un cambio que necesitas, ¿verdad? Entonces tienes que sacar tiempo para asistir a conferencias, talleres y eventos de networking. No puedes quedarte en tu casa o lugar de negocios y ver un cambio, asistir a estos eventos puede proporcionar oportunidades para conectar con otros empresarios, mentores y socios potenciales.

Una de las estrategias clave para obtener más ingresos de tu negocio es la colaboración, de la que te hablaré en mi próximo post. No necesitas socios sólo por las ideas, sino personas que puedan llevar el negocio a lugares sin ti y que también te beneficien. Esto también es una red de negocios que debes crear.

Recuerda, hacer lo mismo todos los días, todos los años y todo el tiempo siempre dará el mismo resultado, si necesitas un cambio entonces debes dar un paso adelante y hacer algo diferente este año. No tengas miedo de tender la mano, pedir ayuda y construir la red de apoyo que necesitas para tener éxito como empresario.
