I tried to use my own photo as inspo for a quick drawing session earlier today. U can see the result here and it’s pretty obvious the proportions are a little off, especially with the arms that looks a bit stiff and awkward.
I originally wanted to draw exactly what I was wearing in this photo above, but it was taking way too long and I just don't have the patience today, so I settled with this long black dress instead with less details.
The hair is just one big brown shape and I not much details on the face because I am still not used to drawing people in their real form. Besides that is the style I want to develop in this exercise. The dress looks a bit flat. And those hands... they just look like tiny little claws because I didn't know how to finish them properly. I'm not so proud of how simplified this came out, but since I spent so much time on it already, I just decided to stop here before I make it worse. At least the vibe of the long dress is kind of elegant in its own weird way.
This is how short my dress is supposed to be and I want to make myself dancing or moving with both hands up
I switched to another position and changed some details so from short dress to long gown from casual now looking a little elegant. Hope you like it
