taking care of plants 🌶🍠in my family's small garden

This morning I will show you our family's small garden, located near the waters of the rice field drainage embankment is indeed very profitable for those who like farming like my family, in general the people in my area work as farmers and the majority of the area is rice fields and residents' gardens

We utilize the small land behind this house by planting horticultural plants that can meet the needs of our family and if possible we will sell them to the market, in our area Indonesia is a tropical area with high rainfall so that the land in our area is very fertile for farming, let me show you what plants are behind our house

This is a purple sweet potato, the fruit tastes very delicious, my wife planted it for our food needs only, initially she only tried to plant it, but when it grew it was very dense and fertile so she really liked it

Although the land is very narrow, this sweet potato is able to grow well and fertile and has spread a lot and the fruit is already in the ground

Comfort effect The benefits of farming like this are that you can pick it directly when needed, no need to buy it at the market and its freshness is guaranteed 😁

We also plant cayenne pepper plants and now they are bearing fruit. I see that the fruit is very large and dense, but this is not too much because it is the first time bearing fruit and will be followed by flowers and fruit that are very abundant at the top later

To keep the branches from breaking and the trunk from collapsing, I installed support poles and stretched ropes around it so that it could hold the trunk and branches when strong winds and rain hit

In addition, I also do kroning in agricultural terms, which is removing small shoots that grow on the main trunk and removing old leaves that are no longer needed with the aim of maximizing the growth and fruiting process. All nutrients will be focused upwards and no longer distributed to old leaves

It doesn't stop there, my mother tries to take advantage of the edge of this embankment by planting ginger so that the fertilizer that flows from the chili plants is not wasted into the embankment and can be directly absorbed by ginger plant

This ginger plant is six months old and the leaves have started to turn yellow but it cannot be harvested because generally ginger will be harvested at the age of ten to twelve months so that the fruit tubers are perfectly solid and have the right taste
