Hello, my hive friends!

A fruitful day to one and all. Hope you are all safe and doing great. A blessed day, indeed! This is my first time posting in this beautiful community. Today, I wanted to share with you how happy I am when I saw the fruits from our garden.

We will be happy when we sow the fruits of our labor and I will share with you some of the plants in our school garden that made me happy.

We have malunggay plants, spinach, bell pepper, sword pepper, spring onions, tomatoes, okra ( ladies' fingers) and we have also ornamental plants.

Today, I will share with you the harvesting day of our okra, spring onions, and tomatoes.

THE OKRA

Okra (ladies' fingers) is a well-known plant and a source of antioxidants. When I was a child my mother used to feed me a viand with the presence of okra. Sometimes, she made okra viand with a little amount of meat and sometimes she made a Paksiw na Okra ( Okra cooked and simmer in vinegar). She used to tell me how helpful okra is to our body and that's why okra is one of my favorite plants.

It was a bright and sunny day as I watch our Okra bear fruits and I was happy then atlas! there were fruits already and I saw our spring onions and tomatoes needed to harvest too.

I was the one who harvested the fruits and it was a great feeling indeed. I used a pair of scissors to cut the fruit of the okra because that's what my mother told me when I was still a child in harvesting fruits so that plants still beautiful blooms and bear more fruits.

THE SPRING ONIONS

Spring Onions were used as mixing ingredients in almost all of the recipes. It adds a good smell and the aroma of the fried spring onions made us starved. The spring onions for me were always there every time I cooked together with the garlic.

I harvested some of the spring onions and replant the new ones to bloom more leaves and I was then happy when I harvested the plants that we took good care of.

THE TOMATOES

I also love tomatoes especially when it is already ripe. I mixed them with the dried fish or sometimes I mixed them with the eggs. Then the unripe tomatoes can be mixed with our sauce to add some sweetness and crispiness. It is yummy and healthy as well! And this day I harvested some of its fruits. Thank God for the blessings.

“If you’ve never experienced the joy of accomplishing more than you can imagine, plant a garden.” – Robert Brault

A nice feeling actually when you can harvest something from your labor. I enjoyed it a lot while harvesting them.

That's all for now my hive friends and thank you for sparing time reading this. Have a great day and God bless!

It's the first time I see this Okra, it's interesting. What a wonderful idea to have a school garden. There's no such thing in my country, unfortunately.

I had a look at your engagement and I see most of your comments are Thank you comments, replies on comments left to you. It would be better if you could engage with others too. Hive is a social platform, engagement is key.

True @erikah it's interesting. Okra is a well-known fruits but it is mixed as vegetable in some viand. That is why I love to have okra plants because its fruits have varied types of recipe you can make and it is known really in here in Philippines aside from being yummy,it has also good benefits to our body.

Have a great day my friend!

Gosh, growing your own veggies and fruit is such a delight. I love seeing blogs about gardening lately. Makes me wanna have my own veggie garden. Same to you, I am planning to plant tomatoes and spring onions in the future. ☺️

!PIZZA

Really makes us happy when we see our garden grows and blooms and we're gonna be happier when we see it's fruits...a nice feeling indeed!
You may try to have a garden @jijisaurart aside from healthy , your sure that it is fresh and no chemicals applied. Then you can already have your garden share it us and I will be excited then.

Wow! There's a lot of harvest. This is really an advantage if we planted something for sure we will also harvest something sooner. Congrats for the harvest.

Totoo @jenthoughts. Talagang naniniwala ako sa kasabihan na kapag my itinatanim may aanihin at sure tayo na fresh from the garden ito dahil tayo mismo ang nagtanim😊

Nice, we have also that project in my school when I was in elementary. Yan din ang dahilan kung bakit ako natoto magtanim..kaya thankfull ako for that experience until now I still do planting vegetables

True @john0928. Nakakatulong talaga ang natutunan natin sa school in our real life gaya ng pagtatanim, useful talaga sya kasi kapag natuto tayong magtanim makakapagsave tayo ng money at healthy pa tayo dahil walang halong chemicals ang itinatanim natin at sure tayo na fresh ito.

Thank you for dropping by my friend

I should thank you for sharing your veggies to me. 😁 You saved me. Hehe

It is my pleasure mam @missleray ,no need to mention it😁. Well anyways it will be nice if we have our own veggies in our garden,we can immediately used it and it is fresh as well no chemicals....only the animal manure I used as a fertilizer. Nice to read message from you my dear friend.have a great day

You're always welcome. ☺️
