What a stunning, powerful, beautiful story. Nature deficit disorder as a term is perfect, really makes sense to me. When you say your son is fully recovered, do you mean he is no longer classified as autistic? Sorry if I'm not understanding the end well. I adored this post and admire the journey you went on. As someone who needs nature all of the time to function in the world, I get it.
