Awesome. Everything I planted was eaten by critters… especially rabbits. They are very clever … the only thing I seem to grow are apples. Thousands and thousands of apples. I planted 2 dwarf apple trees 20 years ago. Empire and Golden Delicious and now I get over 1 thousand apples from each tree. All organic. No pesticides, no chemicals. I sell them by the bushel (125 apples per bushel) … the Flowers in May are incredible. Lots of bees though. I guess I should try to make some honey next. I’m thinking of building a Hive ... 🐝
Man that's awesome...and that's a lot of apples. I have two apple trees but I'm not getting anywhere near your harvest, I'd not know what to do with them if I did for sure.
I wonder if it's worth looking into making apple cider, you'll have enough apples for it!
Great photos, thanks for commenting.
Many years ago I started posting them for sale on Kijiji (like EBay in Canada) … at 1st selling them to Horse farms and Deer Hunters… $20 a bushel… but then a guy with a Dairy Cow offered me $60 a bushel. So I sell them to him now. He wanted all-Organic Empire apples … His cow loves them. And he tells me it makes the milk, cheese and butter taste better. ???
That's pretty good revenue, and the milk and cheese? Hmm, now I'm curious to know if the apples would make a difference; logic says it would although I'm not certain. Another thing I need to research.
The apples are just so nice and looking beautiful ☺️☺️☺️. Apples are expensive and you're talking about getting 1000 apples from one of your Apple trees. The product of your work 20years ago are actually paying you off now. Well done for the work ☺️☺️☺️
