How moong/green gram (mung beens) grown at our home garden and a small contest

in HiveGarden2 months ago

Hello friends !

Welcome to my blog . I am so glad that you are here again. Today i would like to share about how green gram (moong) has grown at our home garden.

At our home garden moong ( green garm ) grown suprisingly . There is a small corner at our backyard where we grown watermelon. I have tried for quite some time to plant a mango tree there but all time it was unsuccessful attempt. So this space will not be of much use to us.

In the month of July - august we worship lord shiva, and we offer him moong and some other things, all day i used to put that worship water at this area. Which contain moong ( green gram). Some days after saw that something is growing there. But I could not recognize what this is...I thought maybe it was some wild plant that had sprouted in the rain...

And slowly that plant has grown.

Some days ago i noticed some beans here. And then my father in law told me that it is moong...And then I understood how this happened.

After a few days the beans were ready....And again my father-in-law told me that it is not harvesting time yet...After some time when its colour changes then it will be ready to be plucked.

And now it feels like plucking 5-6 beans every day.

In 2 days I collect much beans and than i separated beans from the beans .

Here you can see the final result 🤩🤩.

And here you can see that empty beans shall.

This was really unexpected for me...and these unexpected happiness is really awesome. Whenever we grow something in the garden, it takes a lot of hard work and patience...And when something healthy grows surprisingly, it brings immense joy.

Moong is really a nutritious lentils , which also known as grean gram , golden gram, mug and mung beens. It is eaten with great interest at our home. And now we get some more healthy version 😄😄.

Small contest:

Is there something suprisingly grown in your garden which is very useful and healthy too?

Let me share in the comment section.

As I shared yesterday that I completed 6 years on this platform, and i was thought to organised a contest. And now I would like to know about that unexpected plant from your garden .

Hello lady @mysteriousroad
It is really very satisfying to grow our own food, how great this plant looks, and it has given many fruits. Congratulations

Thank you so much dear for your kind words 😊

I have planted beans in the past, the only downside is that if you're not planting in a large scale it's very difficult for you to actually have enough to eat.

Yeah...we rarely get beans for only one time use ...
But now I'm motivated to grow it at large scale 😀

Thank you so much for stopping by 🙏

Wow these are really nice images. I love the vibrancy of the leaves and the mung beans. I should try growing these things myself!!

I'll also try it at large scale 😀
