There seem to be a lot of gardens with papayas fruiting at the moment. I'm guessing it must be the time of year for them in some of the Asian countries. Here in Australia my plums are ripening, but over in the northern hemisphere it's winter, so not as much activity is happening in gardens there.
That said, @fotostef has been rather surprised at how late winter seems to be coming in Greece. Many of his plants that should be dormant are merrily active and looking rather lovely and photogenic.
And speaking of papayas, @afterglow experimented with saving and sprouting some seeds from one a few months ago and I was keen to see how they would go. It seems they went well and now he's planting out four robust seedlings in their permanent locations.
@zpek offers a peek at what is grown in the family garden leading with a bumper apple harvest and following up with some insights into his gardening practices.
I'll wrap up with @calendulacraft's foraging collection from a few days ago. Such a pretty basket full of goodies and a pesto recipe to boot. I'm intrigued by those algarroba pods, as I've never heard of them before.

Wow! Experimenting with papayas and a big harvest of apples looked so amazing. Yes to more harvests and good experiments. Congrats guys for being featured!
I'm craving apple juice just looking at that barrow of apples! 😅
Truth, how I love the barrow of apples. If I owned that, surely, I would make juice too, and my favorite creamy salad. Heheh
Aw, it is an honor to be included in this post!! Have you heard for the Mesquite tree or pods? that is another name for Algarroba/Algarrobo. Thanks so much for the mention!!
I haven't heard of that either. This is the first time I've come across a mention of it.
Amazing garden view that evokes nature.
Thank you very much @minismallholding it is an honor to be part of this newsletter.
You're welcome. It was good to see those seedlings growing so well.
Wow, it's a great wealth to be able to harvest so many apples! May God bless this abundance!
I wish my tree produced that many!
I would like to have an apple tree!
