The lemon plant is a small woody and perennial tree, mine is planted in a pot, its fruit is the lemon, an edible fruit with a very acidic and extremely fragrant flavor that is widely used in meals, desserts, drinks, medicinal uses and in cosmetics.

Go ahead and grow a lemon tree in a pot. You don't need large fields, gardens or tracts of land. If you have a terrace or a small garden like mine, you can eat lemons grown by yourself.
You just have to take proper care of it:
Watering: water it at least once a week or when the substrate is dry. If we saturate it with water, it can rot.
Soil: it must be fertilized with black soil with substrate and nutrients.
Pruning: very necessary to promote the growth of new branches.

Climate: it must be protected from the wind, the cold and receive sunlight daily. It is vulnerable to frost. We have had to put fabric on it to protect it from low temperatures and strong winds.
Pot: with a good drainage hole so that the water passes without obstruction.
Pests: it can be attacked by cochineal, aphids, red spiders, but we can counteract the damage with blue soap water, baking soda and a little alcohol and spray the affected parts.
If we take into account these simple recommendations we will have our own lemon plant for our consumption.

My beautiful lemon plant is planted using the air layering method, from a mother plant at my sister's house. A branch was taken, wrapped in a plastic bag full of soil until it took root, then transplanted directly into the ground. After more than two years we decided to change it to a pot because the space where it had been planted was inappropriate.
We have pruned it on different occasions, without losing hope of seeing it produce, after more than four years we have this result: a resilient lemon tree that withstood frost and strong winds.

Anímense a cultivar un limonero en maceta, no necesitan grandes campos, jardines o extensiones de tierra, si tienen terraza o un pequeño jardín como el mio pondrán consumir limones cultivados por ustedes mismos.
Simplemente hay que cuidarla adecuadamente:
Riego : regarlas por lo menos una vez cada semana o cuando el sustrato esté seco, si la saturamos de agua se puede pudrir.
Tierra: debe ser abonada con tierra negra con sustrato y nutrientes.
Poda: muy necesario para promover el crecimiento de nuevas ramas.
Ahora
Clima : debe estar protegida del viento, del frío y que reciba a diario luz solar, es vulnerable a las heladas, nos ha tocado colocarle tela para protegerla de bajas temperaturas y fuertes vientos.
Maceta : con buen agujero para drenaje de manera que el agua pase sin obstrucción.
Plagas : puede ser atacado por cochinilla, pulgón, araña roja, pero podemos contrarrestar los daños con agua jabón azul, bicarbonato y un poco de alcohol y rocíar las partes afectadas.

El limonero es un árbol frutal que pertenece a la familia de los cítricos. Sus flores de azahar son de exquisito aroma, son.muy hermosas rosadas por fuera y cuando abren son blancas.
Mi hermosa planta de limón, es sembrada de con el método por acodo aéreo, de una planta madre en casa de mi hermana, se procedió a agarrar una rama, se envolvió con una bolsa plástica llena de tierra hasta esperar que echara raíz, luego se transplante directo al suelo, después de más de dos años decidimos cambiarla a una maceta porque el espacio dónde se había sembrado era inapropiado.
La hemos podado en diferentes oportunidades, sin perder la esperanza de verla producir, luego más de cuatro tenemos este resultado un limonero resiliente que aguantó heladas y fuertes vientos.

Ahora sí amigos a poner manos en la tierra, ya saben lo que tienen que hacer para cultivar una planta de limón o limonero en maceta y en nuestra casa así no tengamos tanto espacio disponible, solo hace falta atreverse, pronto les compartiré mi planta full de limones muy jugosos.
