RE: LUT Garden Report #7

I still remember the figs from the fig tree we had when I was a kid and we lived in the Eastern Cape. They don't grow here. I hope your tree survives, it is looking good!
It baffles me where the bugs come from, and that some plants are susceptible to certain kinds of bugs and pests.
There are natural remedies, but of course, one has to spray regularly as they aren't as harsh as chemical pesticides.
Freshly grown tomatoes taste way better than the ones we buy in the stores, enjoy them!

The only thing that I've managed to harvest this year are some micro salad green, they were good 😀

I don't know if it's the quality of my soil, because it's new soil, maybe the guy who built my raised bed didn't use the best quality soil. I'll have to try improve it over time.

Fruit trees takes so long to bear any fruit, it will be a long long time before I can pick anything, assuming something will grow 🤞

Try adding bonemeal to the soil when you plant again. Plants absolutely thrive on it. I need to buy some again, we're forever replanting as many of my plant multiply, so needs thinning out. Waiting for spring before we do that, our rainy season starts then, it's extremely dry here.
Your post reminded me that I can grow tomatoes, the monkeys generally leave it alone.
Happy gardening🍅🥕
