Omg! You're a Call the midwife fan as well!!! I love that, second to Downton Abbey

I used to think gardening was very easy, you plant stuff in the ground, water them every day and wait to harvest. My first season last year was a disaster, the slugs ate everything, I think I harvested greens twice, a few tomatoes and a handful of beans. This year I have lower expectations so if all fails I won't be so disappointed.

Like you, I used an online garden planner last week, and added things to my planter that I'd like to grow. I've checked for companion plants it all seems OK, and I've crammed lots of plants on my plan because I'm greedy.😀 I guess I will have to scale back when I actually start planting which won't be another month or so

Sort:

Not allowing enough growing room will stress plants, making them dinner for pests and diseases. Doing what a plant needs will increase harvests a lot...

I definitely have to space them out this year when I plant them, they were a lot too cosy last year
