Hi peeps!
As you may know, my mom is a passionate gardener and she has many types of plants in her collection. Today, she asked me to take some photos of the plants in her garden, so I want to share with you some of my favourite pics.
This is a type of succulent. Its scientific name is Echeveria Blue Atoll. I tried to find English names for these plants, but it is too hard. Then, my mom suggested that I should use the scientific one, so it can be more accurate.
These are fern.
These are venus flytrap. I've read about them a lot, so it is interesting to see them in real life. These plants in my mom's garden are cuter than what they are described in books.
Scientific name of these plants is tillandsia aeranthos, they are a type of air plants. When it blooms, some of their leaves will turn red and their flowers are purple.
These are called Agave Americana. They are presents from one of my mom's siblings.
These are cattleya orchids. They are so pure with that white color.
I was surprised that the name of this flower in English is quite similar to its Vietnamese name. This is pink rain lily, and it is called "Huệ mưa" in Vietnamese.
This orchid' s name is vanda garayi. They are tiny but so lovely.
This is calliandra tergemina. They are so fluffy, aren't they?
Scientific name of this flower is evolvulus glomeratus. They are so cute. Besides, I love taking photos of flowers with water drops on them like this.
Last but not least, one of my favourite flowers - water lily. My mom has many of them in the garden.

Your mom is so knowledgeable with her plants. I have always imagined moms to really like taking care of anything, people and plants. Your mom’s garden is so nice!
Thanks a lot. My mom usually spends half of her day taking care of these plants. That's why she understand them so well.
Ohhh that’s a lot of time.. But if she’s so passionate about it, she won’t really mind the time spent. The same for everyone with their hobbies I guess
Using scientific names for succulent is way easier since there are different species within the same genus. The last picture is also lovely!
