A bad mother plant?/¿Una planta mala madre? [ENG/ESP]

My grandmother agreed without problems, but with distrust because well grandmothers are like that, with all the distrust in the world, she planted it in the backyard, she did not pay attention to it or water it

After a month, the plant could not be seen, since the bush was covering it, so my grandmother wanted to see if it was already withered, but to her surprise the plant was vigorous and its size had increased considerably.

It also had an appearance that we had not seen before, on the edges of its leaves it looked as if someone had embroidered or woven it, also its leaves had become huge leaves, its stem thickened and took a shape

After that, my grandmother became interested in this plant, to the point that she asked me for help to clear all possible weeds around it and thus have a better place for it to continue growing.

After that, about two weeks passed, and it was possible to notice that on the edge of its leaves it had some small flowers, although they were part of the leaf as such, but they were still flowers for anyone to see.

This generated some curiosity in me so I decided to research on the internet what this plant was called, since the lady who gave it to my grandmother did not say the name of the plant or even a nickname

My internet searches were something like "plant that looks like embroidery" "name of plant with flowers on the edges", it didn't work, so I took a picture and used the image search engine, I just put the photo and another similar one appeared

I was surprised when on the page where they talked about her they mentioned her name "Bad Mother", but because "Bad Mother", as I understood her name is due to the fact that she leaves her shoots on the tips of the leaves, and it makes sense because which mother leaves her children on the banks so that they fall, well none so that's where her name comes from

La historia de esta planta es muy curiosa, ya que un día una señora desconocida le tocó la puerta de la casa a mi abuela, ella al abrir vió a la señora con un retoño de esta planta y le dijo que se la regalaba que era medicinal y también muy bonita para tenerla en el jardín

Mi abuela accedió sin problemas, pero con desconfianza porque bueno las abuelas son así, con toda la desconfianza del mundo la sembró en el patio trasero, no le prestaba atención ni la regaba

Pasado un mes, la planta no se veía ya que el monte la estaba tapando, así que mi abuela quiso mirar si ya estaba marchita, pero para su sorpresa la planta estaba vigorosa y su tamaño había aumentado considerablemente

Además tenía un aspecto que no habíamos visto antes,en los bordes de sus hojas lucia como si alguien la hubiese bordado o tejido, además sus hojas se habían convertido en unas enormes hojas, su tallo engruesó y tomó una forma como de espiral

Luego de eso mi abuela se interesó por esta planta, al punto de que me pidió ayuda para limpiar a su alrededor toda la maleza posible y así tener un mejor lugar para que siga creciendo

Luego de eso pasaron como dos semanas, y se pudo notar que al borde de sus hojas tenía unas pequeñas flores aunque eran parte de la hoja como tal pero seguian siendo flores a vista de cualquiera

Esto me generó algo de curiosidad asi que decidí investigar en internet como se llamaba esta planta ya que la señora que se la regaló a mi abuela no dijo el nombre de la planta ni siquiera un apodo

Mis búsquedas en internet eran algo como "planta que parece bordada" "nombre de planta con flores en los bordes", no daba resultado, asi que le tomé una fotografía y usé el buscador de imágenes, solo coloqué la foto y apareció otra similar

Me quedé soprendido cuando en la página donde hablaban de ella mencionaron su nombre "Mala Madre", pero porque "Mala Madre", según entendí su nombre se debe a que sus retoños los deja en las puntas de las hojas, y tiene sentido porque cual madre deja a sus hijos en las orillas para que se caigan, pues ninguna asi que de ahí viene su nombre

Pero a pesar de ser "Mala Madre" tiene propiedades medicinales y son bastantes

Por ejemplo una de ellas es que ayuda a las personas que sufren de alergias, pero no se toma en té si no que machacas las hojas y luego de eso las filtras para obtener el líquido que sale de ellas, esta planta ayuda también con los problemas estomacales como las molestas úlceras

Ayuda en el cuidado íntimo femenino, sirve para dolores de espalda o heridas que puedas tener en esa zona y sirve como relajante muscular
