Hello everyone, welcome
How are you all, I hope you are in good condition and always healthy wherever you are.
Most areas on earth experience different weather. Of course it all depends on where the area is located. Indeed, the weather is very changeable and even unpredictable.

Everyone lives based on the weather. For office workers, bad weather will affect their mood, especially if it rains in the morning, this is really a very annoying thing because they will be too lazy to go to work. But, for farmers like me, the weather which tends to change every day is very annoying for some of my plants. Affects my harvest.

You know, maybe some of my biggest income comes from selling plants and vegetables. In the last few months, many of my vegetables have not sold well in the market. How sad it is because it causes a lot of my harvest to go to waste.

This time, I even took a complete break from growing vegetables. Only, I made some vegetables for home needs. Like yesterday's harvest batch, there are usually only 1 or 2 types of vegetables. However, this time I planted some vegetables just for our needs for one month. At least I can make it easy for my wife in the kitchen to meet our vegetable and fiber needs.

There are several plants that I planted and were quite successful this month. One of them is kale, lettuce and bok choy. Unfortunately, the quality of the bok choy that I planted was very below standard and it could not be accepted by the market. It hurts, but that's what happens. Pakcoy grows very slowly due to lack of sunlight, sometimes also because the sun is too hot.

Pakchoy is not growing very well, it is small and it is enough time to be harvested, but it looks like its growth is not very good. So, I share some with friends and family and the rest for my own consumption. Apart from that, it is also stored very well.

Kangkung (water spinach) is still in process and is already approaching 2 weeks. The growth is quite good, strangely, only kale grows very well among all of them which are very bad. Like some of the leaves that I started planting for production purposes such as mint leaves.

I started seeding mint leaves from stem cuttings, meaning I propagated them by taking several mint leaves and putting them in this seedling tray. using rockwool to strengthen the stem. Rockwool is left over from several plants that have been previously harvested. That is enough to make production costs more economical.

Like what happened to some of the mint leaves that I started planting, it turned out that some of them failed and also dried out and turned into brown leaves. It looks like burnt leaves and there are quite a lot of them. Maybe the stem cannot grow enough roots to provide support. So, some of them have to be allowed to dry out first.

The ratio of growing leaves to drying leaves is not very significant, there are only a few that dry out and fail to grow. But, there are also some mint leaves that turn yellow. Of course I don't just give water to the roots but also provide nutrition from AB Mix for hydroponics. Every 2 days I stir the water in the tray so it doesn't settle, and check it periodically.

Farming activities are quite fun, we can experiment a lot to do good things and also get to know our plants more closely. That's why I dedicate myself to farming and doing many things with plants. Really, it really made my mind bright again and perfect healing for being a human.

Aw, sad to hear that your harvest this time isn't that good compared before. I hope it will be better next time.

Just to ask, what do you think is the significant factor why your harvest didn't perform well?

There are many factors, all of which influence plants to grow well, even our feelings towards plants can also influence whether plants grow.

Whoa, I never heard that your feelings towards plants can influence them. So, you're saying that it's better to work with them with positive emotion?

Failure or not, nothing in vain. On farming, we can not 100 percent success but it will be lesson learned for us :)

Gardening is not just about failure or success in planting, but can develop by learning from fellow living creatures.

Hey, it's too bad that happened. The weather does its own thing in our gardens. In mine the plants have done what they want this season, so they have their own personality jajajaj
