Pollinators: week 7

in HiveGarden7 days ago

Hello, hardworking gardeners and community, Greetings.
This post is my response to the weekly theme pollinators.
As I mentioned in a few previous posts, we have a lot of calendula this year and of course, the many bees, flies, and butterflies are attracted to the beautiful calendula. Most of our pollinators are honey bees. When I see that small hardworking insect I really appreciate it. Many times, I thought we could put one bee hive around the corner of the garden. But it is not so easy. Might in the future.
For now, I just enjoy with them how they play on the flower beds.

While I was collecting those calendula flowers I took some photos of them.

The other pollinators are bumble bees.
like a calendula, we have lots of poppy flowers and they also grow wild.
Most of the flowers are often surrounded those bumble bees.

one day I saw a bee or fly I tried to find the name but couldn't
Might ask @jaki01about this bee. Is it a native digger bee?

This sphinx moth was in the cosmos which was hidden under the Calendula plants.
We are glad for them and thank them for helping and balancing the ecosystem and food chain.
This is all about pollinators.

they are very kind and enjoy giving me poses. Thank you for stopping by. :)

I am sure the bees were having a good time in your garden 🐝. They might like to have their own colony there hahaha

Each year they come and have the freedom to go anywhere in the garden. :)

What a pretty bee, quite hairy. Makes you want to hug it. It's amazing how flowers attract pollinators. Quite a diversity. Excellent publication
