Visited a cocoa farm in the area

in HiveGarden2 years ago

Good afternoon hive friends all. happy to see hiday84 again in this beloved community I am very happy that I can still meet all my friends in this beloved community On this occasion I will write about my activities visiting the cocoa plantations a few days ago.

when talking about cocoa groves or cocoa fruit, of course, we are all familiar, because this one fruit is already very well known in various places and various regions because there are so many people who plant cocoa gardens or cultivate cocoa gardens because in addition to the very expensive price very useful for all of us.

a few days ago I visited a cocoa garden which is not far from the house where I live. Only a few tens of meters from my house. the brown plant that has started to bear fruit.

the cocoa garden that I have was several years ago, more or less about 2 years ago, and now it has started to grow well and has also begun to flower, there are even some stems that already have fruit, the garden that I have is not very large, only Only 1,500 square meters and contains approximately 200 cocoa stems. First of all, I take the cocoa seeds from the cocoa plant. I take the ripe fruit and then I sow it in a polybag. I have prepared in advance by making holes for planting.

As we all know, currently there are many gardeners cultivating cacao because besides the price of the seeds which are quite expensive, they are also very beneficial for all of us as a source of health that we need to consume. and the selling price of cocoa beans at my place ranges from 40,000 to Rp. 50,000 and if the beans are of high quality, the price will be even more expensive.

if the chocolate bar has started to bear fruit then we need to take care of it or protect it from pest attacks, both insects and from pests such as rats and squirrels that like to eat the cocoa beans.
the method of cultivating cocoa plants is very easy, meaning it's not a hassle, and if needed, we just water it with water. If there is a dry season, and also once every 3 months, we give fertilizer or other nutrients for the freshness and fertility of the cocoa plants.

this is a picture of a young cocoa fruit that is only about 1 week old and this fruit looks very fresh, and this is the first fruit from my cocoa garden, hopefully it will be safe until the next harvest

The chocolate fruit above is a chocolate fruit that is quite ripe, and it can be seen that there are lots of ants on the fruit and there are also some fungi that attack the chocolate fruit, and we cannot allow this and must be eradicated immediately by spraying insecticides so that the fruit can be healthy and fresh. not get sick

The picture above is a number of chocolate fruits that have entered a ripe period, which means that we can pick or harvest them, so the signs that the chocolate fruit is ripe or we can pick it are that the fruit skin is yellow, and the seeds inside are all filled.

and this picture shows some large chocolate bars that are already bearing fruit even though there aren't many fruits and these chocolate bars are about 2 years old. And as we can see, the chocolate bars are growing healthy and fertile.

and these are cocoa beans that are being dried in the hot sun, these seeds are taken from ripe cocoa fruit which are peeled and then the seeds are taken and then dried in the hot sun and then put in sacks and then sold to buyers at very good or very expensive selling prices

that's all I can write. On this occasion, I hope my writing can be useful for all of us, and thank you for the support from all of my friends.
see you in my next post
Thank You
send regards for success

The cocoa farm is in very good condition. The pods are beautiful devoid of too much infections with the exception of few black patches that I see on some pods. It could be some black pod fungi infection which normally happen at humid areas.

I really love the cocoa beens when I see that they have dried nicely. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
