Sun coming around the trees in the morning
On Friday morning I was up around 5AM and got my post written and up. I got the kitchen cleaned up and then I had to repair the antique compost sifter. One of the supports had come loose. Then I got ready to go out to spread compost. I didn’t manage to get out there until 8AM.
My helper friend arrived then and he started the foliar spraying. I managed to empty 9 of the 10 totes by the time he had finished around 10AM.
I started the sprinkler on the gardens I got done. I’d have to stop watering mid morning so I wouldn’t burn foliage. We’ve not had rain for a couple weeks now and things aren’t doing so well.
It was the North Corner garden that I didn’t get finished on.
We got the rest of the compost out of the 2nd bin and tore it down and tossed it in the truck. This is the compost left to sift. I’ll do it on Saturday morning.
We got 2 sides up and started cutting holes for the ventilation pipes. We thought we’d finished so we put the extension cord and saw away. But when we went to put the pipes through the 3rd side, we discovered we’d forgotten to cut the outside holes for them. Sigh…
But we got it done and the front on as a door that will swing open and they were finished.
This is a much nicer sight from the dining room table than the mess I’ve been looking at for years.
Someone has taken over my chair. His chair isn’t good enough anymore I guess…
I got some lunch, which my brother had picked up for me through curbside pickup so he didn’t have to walk. Then I got a shower and went to bed. But I was pretty sore from emptying all the totes and couldn’t sleep.
So I spent the later afternoon until suppertime in my chair. I started the sprinklers on the gardens out of the sun in late afternoon.
My son went up and unloaded the rotten wood from the truck for me.
Moonrise
After supper my brother and I had an errand to do and we were going for our last ice cream. We’d checked the website to make sure they were open, but by the time we got there, they’d closed. I’d wondered at them being open at 7PM as it’s dark by then now.
So we went the long way home and we drove by the 70th anniversary car show my brother had wanted to go to. But neither of us was in shape to walk through the rows after rows of beautiful old cars. My guess was there were about 400 cars!
So we decided we would go for ice cream in the afternoon on Saturday. I plan to finish the sifting, spread the compost, clean up the area, and run the sprinklers until mid morning.
Always make sure that you have great time to rest
Make sure you are always having time to rest as it is very important
Good to see that you are almost through with the compost because I must say that wasn't easy.

Wow
You’ve done a lot today and you deserved the ice cream
It is well deserved
Welldone!
That's a massive job so it's good that you're doing it in stages. The area looks great and the aesthetics of it should have a positive effect on your wellbeing.
The cat added a special element to your post:)
Happy Sunday!

Sunrise and Moonrise are very beautiful sights and you have beautifully captured both here.
