Interesting to see that you made this drink - garri - from casava. This is my first time knowing it. I used to help my grandma remmoving casava's skin so I know it is quite a hard job to do. But my grand ma taught me a technique to make it easier. So after digging out the casava, we popped it into water and then we would cut the ends off with a sharp knife. Then score around the cassava from top to bottom. It's better to do it in a wide spiral around the root. It did made a difference.
