RE: Gardening Without Work by Ruth Stout (FOR THE AGING, THE BUSY & THE INDOLENT)

in HiveGardenlast year

Ciao @samstonehill and the @survival-archive ! What a glorious publication, I love it! It made me think of the book 'HOW TO GROW MORE VEGETABLES - *Than You Ever Thought Possible On Less Land Than You Can Imagine, by John Jeavons - do you know of it? If you haven't got it already, it would be a great addition to the list: it speaks to (initial) double-digging, and the French biodynamic method. A very powerful book in terms of minimal work for maximum production.

HOW TO GROW MORE VEGETABLES

Well I didn't know about it before but now I do! Have found it online and added to my collection. Looks great :)

Though it feels to me that Ruth Stout's system is more in line with your own, without need for tools or even a compost. And I like this system because it seems to me you only need to dig once, at the beginning. After that you only have one job really, which is to add mulch regularly.

I have just posted an update on this subject in fact.

Think you will enjoy it 🍇
