"Gardening is the embodiment of creative expression. There is no "right garden"; only the one that you choose to design, plant, and tend." - Chase Jarvis
Hello, beautiful people of the Hive... A pleasant gardening day to all! Welcome to another garden post of mine. This one is supposed to be my entry for the Hive Garden prompt for this month, "Creative Garden", unfortunately, I was not able to finish it on time. Well anyway, this is meant to be published and now, I did😅.
Based on my previous blogs, there's no denying that gardening is one of my best interests😅🥰. Yet this time, I will update you not just about my garden but also the things I've created to innovate and improve it from a beautiful landscape to an edible landscape!

School gardening is a never-ending activity at school. Being a teacher gardener, I always try to learn and adapt to change and innovation to improve our garden. In school, we implemented edible landscaping aside from school gardening, still a part of the School Greening Program.
I have already published about my landscape area on my past blog entitled "My Beautiful Place" and now I am transforming that beautiful place into an edible one😅. This area is designated for me and my students as a partly-shaded part so we find it difficult to yield more varieties of vegetables.

I don't want to pull out my ornamental plants that have grown healthy and lively already so that I could replace them with vegetables, spices and herbs. So I decided to create another planting area for my veggies.

Tadaaahhh!... And we named it, The Twin Hearts🤣🥰!
I planted it with Chinese Kangkong and painted it, too🥰!
If you happen to read my past blogs, I made mention of the big heart-shaped plant pot that my students and I were working on using big stones and today I will give you an update about it.
As promised, I saved a little amount to buy cement to keep the stones stuck together and to make our heart-shaped plant pot stronger and nicer.

Here it is now🥰! (I funnily named it "My Big Heart"😅)

Another planting area that I made using empty plastic bottles (1.5L) was located on the upper right side of "My Big Heart" (specifically beneath the stairs going up to the adjacent school building😅).

Tadaah! Indeed a shady area, yet I love this spot and I guess, I just have to find a more suitable variety of vegetables to be planted here that will thrive more in this shady area.
Creativity from being resourceful is enhanced by colors. It gives more life to any creation. And I love colorful landscapes. I managed to personally purchase paints for our area. I could not afford much but I tried to make it the most and I even did the painting myself because I could not afford to pay others to do the job😅! Anyway, painting is one of my hobbies though.

The last update, for now, is my garden fence. In our school, we had this practice, somehow slowly becoming a culture, of fencing our garden area. Before, I settled on bamboo sticks as a fence because that was the least expensive choice.

As you can see, that is the least-to-no cost fence😅 and obviously could not even sustain for a school year-round. It could last only for three to four months. So, every year I kept on changing and rebuilding my fence. This school year, I have decided to build a better fence. I am just so lucky and grateful to find a sponsor to finance it🤩.

Disclaimer😂, I am not the one who piled the hollow blocks and put the bamboo together using mixed sand and cement, I paid an expert in that field to do that😂😂. What my students and I did in the photos were the finishing touches that I added to the bottom of the bamboo. And I enjoyed it a lot, it seemed that I was playing mud just like when I was a child, hehe. I let it for a few days to dry up and painted it and all.😍
Hurray! Done and settled!
Welcome everyone (Tuloy po kayo!) to my small more improved garden (vegetables and ornamentals)!😍🥰
That's all for now my friends! Next time, I will tour you around and in every corner of my garden😊 and share with you what varieties of plants I have. It may be vegetables, ornamentals, herbs and spices and the stuff I do to maintain them.
With a gratefully delighted heart, I am hoping that you enjoyed your time reading this. You may or may not agree but for me, creativity and resourcefulness will truly make and bring wonders in anything you do as long as you do it wholeheartedly💕.
Wherever you are, I am sending my warm big hugs and my best regards! God bless everyone and bye, bye. See you around! 🥰🤗🙏

Thank you so much for the kind words @anggreklestari 🥰...
You're welcome.
Have a great day 🌸
Your garden was fabulous, the best of all is that you got the participation of your students, another important thing is that you also take advantage of the space to grow edible plants, I think you have done an excellent job. Congratulations, for your creativity!
Thank you so much @javierandueza... The National Greening Program implemented in all government institutions including schools has this initiative to cultivate all the space as an edible garden as possible, so we tried our best to participate actively because whatever harvest we gain from gardening is for the students especially to support more on our feeding program for them. 🥰
Anyway, thanks for dropping by🤗💕
Thank you for being so kind and answering my comment, it is a good project that is being carried out in the public schools of your country and your school is implementing it very well.
