The sweet April showers has brought us now in May so many colorful flowers. It is a blessing coming home seeing this wisteria blossoms hanging outside my door.
Beside the Wisteria, I have so many flowers now shining in the sun. The first 3 years I barely had any flowers but these last 2 years my garden is full.
I even don’t have to sow them anymore, the birds and the wind are spreading the seeds in the fall around the garden and they are starting to grow, to many of course. I have to give many away and also I have to destroy many, in order to be able to grow also my veggies.
May is such a wonderful month, the garden is growing and growing. And soon exploding!! Hahah
Daily we are eating so many fresh mixed salads. With ‘we’ I mean, me, my friends and my neighbors.
Soon it is time to harvest my carrots
Also my broad beans are almost ready to harvest
The first strawberries are there! What a blessing to have them fresh from the garden every day.
This is my last harvest of broccoli, from the 2nd half of august I will plant new plants again, for the next season.
Now it is time and warm enough, to plant tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. I can’t wait to harvest my first tomatoes.
I haves planted about 8 different kinds of tomatoes seeds and still to0 many left over. I always plant too many seeds.
The pepper and eggplants are still too small in the glasshouse, so I bought from a local farmer some ready plants that can go direct in the soil.
When I plant them, I put a little bit of calcium and ashes (from the fireplace) in the hole.
I collect during the year my eggshells, wash them and wait until I have a cookie tray full.
Then I put them crunched in the oven, 180 degrees for 20 min.
After I let them cool down and make powder of it.
Before I use it in the garden, I mix it with ashes
I am hoping for a good harvest this year.
Welcome May, with all your wonders.
Kisses from BabetterPlace

Wow! A lot of flowers were blooming. They're in different colors and shapes and I can imagine your garden full of blooming flowers it is so relaxing and it really brings beauty in the place.
You also have a lot of veggies. I like how your carrots grows and wow! You became a blessing to your friends and neighbors as you give some vegetables to them. Keep it up and for sure blessings will flow.
Thank you so much, that is true, me and my neightbours are loving to exchange foods what we cook from the gardens and share veggies. Together it makes life so nice.
Sharing is indeed a blessing. Keep it going.
Wow , the flowers are on the bloom , also nice idea in hangging the flower in front in your gate..it gives an amazing entrance entering to your house..
Completely true, it is an amazing quick growing plant, and it covers the gate, so lesser dust will come inside and more shady places. Sadly the blossom is quick gone
Oh wow your garden is amazing! Where do you live? It looks so fertile. And sooo many flowers. I love wisteria. My Nana used to have a big one. And it was very common where I lived in the UK for a while. Love the recipe at teh end for fertiliser. Do you put it on a lot of things or just certain plants?
Hello @riverflows I moved 5 years ago to Greece, North-east side of Chalkidiki, the best choice ever!
Originally i am from the Netherlands.
When I came here my soil was sand and rocks, noting more than weeds where growing here. But every year the soils becomes more fertile on this way of gardening, aquaculture.
Wisteria is such a great quick growing plant, Unbelievable
I give this fertilizer to all new plants I am planting, like tomato, cucumber, courgette etc. I was reading about it that it stimulates the growth of roots from new planted plants, so this year it is a trial and look like it works very well. I will upload these days my new garden journal and you can see how the garden has grown.
Also I have spread it around and mixed it with the soil, because I have put a lot of leaves during the winter, that makes the soil a little sour and calcium is bringing back the balance. The powder eggshells will be absorbed by the soil better than whole eggshells in my compost.
Thank you for giving me the price of 2.500 HIVE for the gardenjournal, So kind and sweet of you. I just saw them. Thanks a lot.
