Our first garden fruits

jpg_20230304_152348_0000.jpg

To be honest, when I started planting I did it wrapped in a kind of inertia, I always knew I wanted a lot of green around me because I am originally from a beautiful valley located in the Turimiquire mountain range, and it is practically a garden in itself. That is why, when I moved to the plains I thought it would take a long time to see the first fruits, however, the earth is always kind when treated with respect and after six months of being at home giving love to my little piece of land I can tell you with joy that the orchard is giving its first fruits.

My beloved apple tree cambur bush, the one I told you about in one of my first posts, already has its bunch. And although for a while I doubted that it would bear fruit, because time went by and it was only producing sons and leaves, now it surprises me every day with the size of its fruit. In addition, I have a variety of sons available for replanting when the time is right. This time we will be careful to plant them in a straight line leaving adequate space so that when the wall is made the growth of my precious camburs will not be interrupted.

Also, remember the auyama circles that we were zealously working on in January? We already have two huge auyamas growing, I estimate that the biggest one weighs at least three kilos and we are waiting with excitement to see how big it can grow, because in that variety the fruits can weigh seven or eight kilos approximately. I am also observing that new female flowers are coming that have not yet been pollinated, so it will be a fun few months with that.

But it's not all fruit, my garden started blooming in March. The lily bulbs that we planted at the beginning of the year are full of flowers and I am in love with them. They are standing upright like little green soldiers with little orange hats, guarding the garden that is beginning to take shape with the lawns watered here and there.

I also have a new inherited plant, a beautiful son of aloe vera that a friend gave me. It is very special because it was at his mom's house who passed away exactly one year ago, so in commemoration of her departure they were sprucing up the garden and all the wild sages that were there. I was very impressed to see them with flowers because I had never seen them before and I couldn't help but want to bring one for my garden. When I had it I planted it with care among my coconut trees, so that it would revitalize and give many children to give to everyone, because in my land having an aloe means health for your home and your family.

We are happy and continue working and deciding what other plants will be added to our green family. I hope to be able to continue telling you about our progress soon.

I send you a big hug, and if anyone knows where to get sunflowers to plant in Maturin, Venezuela please let me know.

Greetings!

Saludos!
