I'm also thinking about using the rice hay to mulch the garden beds
It would be very very nice, I use it, particularly when I plant my squash to retain the moisture and keep the weeds from germinating.

I've already tried this on strawberries and radishes... it really works! ^^
I might as well going to plant radish next month (^_^)
