Few impromptu moments of eating out due to busy days

in Eating Out19 hours ago

It was such hectic week past weeks!

I had few busy mornings on different days bringing my Aunt to run her groceries as well as her hospital follow-up and also to view an Elderly Care Centre. Thereafter, needed to help my Aunt to process her thoughts and emotions as well as being there for her as she regulated herself as she felt upset being more inconvenient now due to her health. Conclusion, eventhough initially she stated her desire to stay at Elderly Care Centre, after that she decided that she didn't prefer to stay at the centre due to limited freedom and space, and she rather stayed at her own comfort zone and rest in peace there when her time comes. I assured her I am a phone call away whenever she needs help. Grace and strength upon us all.

Whenever I had busy weeks, my family members would be more understanding towards, knowing I would be emotionally and mentally tired. Occasionally, they would suggest to eat out so that to reduce me busy cooking and cleaning kitchen. Love them all. Hereby, our few impromptu eating out moments.

To the Park and then Lucky Star Restaurant!

On the day when my eldest son went to school in the morning for his co-curriculum, the house was rather quiet. I asked my youngest son whether he wanted a 'co-curriculum' session too? He said yes and off we went to the park nearby. We managed to walk half of the park, then walked to nearby mall to grab some buns, then resting at the park for awhile.

He was feeling tired after the walk and he sat for some Roblox game while I did my on-the-spot stretches. Such beautiful day at the park. I missed smelling this fresh air.

After resting, we walked again to a Chinese 'Kopitiam' for late breakfast or early lunch.

He had his egg cheese sandwich toast which I cooked and brought from home. I ordered dry chilli 'pan mee'. For refreshing drink, he had watermelon juice and I had iced milk tea.

Feeling accomplished, we walked back again to the park and then to our car to go home. Yay! Managed to sweat after being sedentary for awhile.

NZ Curry House!

On another night, I was exhausted and didn't have appetite for dinner. So, I skipped the dinner when the boys ate at 7:30pm. However, at about 9pm, I suddenly felt hungry and was craving thosai and chutney sauce. Weird cravings! Husband brought me to nearby mamak for late dinner.

Look at my egg thosai ghee. It was so delicious. And the dipping sauce was the bomb.
Husband ordered rice with dishes of brinjal curry, meat and a squid for me. Yay!

McDonald's and D'Laksa!

On another day, the boys felt like hanging out at Aeon Mall nearby for some air-conditioning because we felt so warm at home. We straight away zoomed out. The eldest gave himself a treat at McDonald's while my youngest son said he wanted to give me a treat of D'Laksa, something I was craving too. Haha. He himself ate the roasted chicken and mashed potato which I cooked and packed from home.

We had great time chitchatting while I wind down my tired brain. I did update them about their grandAunt and asked them to pray for her for peace and assurance that all will be well.

Life is really full of roller coaster. Growing older is not easy. I see the dilemma in my Aunt's, she used to be able to walk for whole day and now she needs to accept the reality that her legs and nerves are weaker. Her heart is weaker too and doctor advised her not to do too strenuous activity. Bless her and may she be assured that we will take care of her and that she is not a burden to us. But, that means I also must improve my strength and stamina so that I can take care of her.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
