A few weeks before the end of the season I made friends within the game that motivated me to move up the ranks. It was more like a healthy competition between us to see who could reach the highest rank first. I can say that I was the winner of our competition, as I went from Diamond to Crown, and from Crown to Ace, to finally reach Ace Master, the penultimate rank of the Qualifiers in just a few weeks. The next title would be Ace Dominator and if you get into the top 500 of the server you get a special Conqueror distinction of the game.
It was a very difficult road, I was very focused playing Qualifiers games, but not everything is playing games, as PUBG forces you that if you want to improve you must spend hours in the training camp if or if, to turn into reflexes, things that would take you a long time to think about in game. So I spent hours there training my aim, my reaction time, my recoil control at long distances and my peeking at obstacles. I also spent considerable time on Team DeathMatch, they added new maps and modes that turned short games into a sort of zone lockdown simulation, which kept you totally immersed in the game, making you feel anxious and pressured at all times. This over time is beneficial as in Qualifiers I would be used to the pressure you feel at all times.
It was fortunate to meet new people in PUBG who were just as fanatical about the game as I was, we played all the time in Squad, easily winning up to 10 games a day. Of course, I played alone too, even if it was just 1vs4, all for the sake of raising my rank. This made me an expert (compared to my old self) in the game. I could easily deduce with some sounds and some marks on the map, where the enemy could be waiting for me or where I could go out, because once you play so many games you realize moves that we all think in small seconds and how to use that to our benefit. So much practice and so many games made me worthy of praise from my teammates who noticed my improvement and emphasized my new skills.
I am really motivated to try to reach Ace Master again this season, although if possible I would also like to reach Ace Dominator. Unfortunately I just started college and being addicted to this game could be counterproductive to my studies, but I know that I just have to find the balance between playing and studying and I can achieve my small goal in this game. Without more to say I leave you some highlights playing 1vs4, where you can notice, compared to my previous videos how much I have improved, as well as I noticed it.
What is the highest rank you have reached in a game? Or do you just play for fun?
I used to play PUBGM back in 2018, started at the end of Season 2, got to Ace for Season 3 and 4. I wanted to rank towards Conqueror in Season 5, but the hackers wouldn't let me. So I just quit on the game and bought the real deal instead, got the PC version for a fair deal and played pubs for quite a while. PUBG surely was a classic, a revolutionary addition to the BR category of the FPS genre.
Yet, for me and my mates the journey ended a bit too fast, it started getting repetitive soon enough and then we just stopped playing. Luckily, Apex Legends was right around the corner. Apex surely felt like a "funky" game at first, but as we got used to it we started falling in love with the game. We built our own clan and played a lot of scrims and tournaments too; sadly, after about 2000 hours of Apex I chose to go solo, towards a different category. That category and game being the Multiplayer experience of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, and soon enough I was absolutely hooked.
And now even that game is a thing of the past. Nowadays I really can't game that much either, I do get in a few hours every now and then, but it not even close to the hours of grind time I used to put into these games.
Those were good times, and you sir have taken me back to those times, a nice little throwback for me. Keep up the good work, hold onto that grind mindset and stay true to yourself and the grind. Cheers & GG 🥃☮️
I'm glad I brought a ray of nostalgia to your day. I too started in 2018 with mobile shooters although I haven't gotten bored yet, I know it will happen someday, but for now to hit it with everything. It's interesting because many of those who played PUBG switched to apex legends will it be that it transpolates very well how to play apex? I've wanted to try it, but I don't have anyone to play it with, so I'm giving up on that idea. It's cool that you don't spend time playing it like you used to, maybe you just need a title that calls your attention too much.
I guess it's that way because of the timeline and release dates. A lot of people just like to follow the trend, so it depends really.
Currently on that path, I'm hoping that MW 2 (2022) will bring me back to my grind mode.
Sheeesh, nice skin bro, i used to play this game, and is incredible how the mobile version its so different from the PC one when we talk about mechanics.
Although I don't have the pass for now, I've been saving some tokens that you get for free in the game to buy that skin. Yeah, it's very different, I'm also a PUBG player on PC, but I'm really bad, as soon as I get acclimated I'll upload content coming from there as well.
Dude, manage your time well and you can have the balance, be good in your studies and get the rank you want. I don't know how you do to play so well from mobile, but that's pure talent. I don't know what rank I got, but let's just say it would be a silver-gold.
I'll try, I just have to get rid of the laziness of doing my homework and not get distracted by playing so much. I play like this because I have been playing several shooters on mobile for years, if you are not used to playing this kind of games on mobile, getting used to it is an odyssey. Well, once you get to Gold, let's say it's the first filter, because there you start to find very good players.
