Yeah I agree. The infected had a truly horrifying appearance. I remember the first time I saw one, their burst-open heads made them look like walking flowers until I got a closer look lol
yes, it's a bit disgusting too, and from the sounds too, it's spectacular
They really did a great job on designing them.
It must have taken many hours to get to that result, but it's very good
