I recall after getting towards the end of B1 that it was considered soulslike. I hate actual soulslike games and didn't feel that Blasphemous was all that difficult. It was more difficult than Astro-Bot sure, but not anything like Dark Souls level of difficult. I will eventually end up buying this game, I am sure of it.
