Pirate Nations has been taking the cryptocurrency gaming scene by storm this month with good reason. In it's short life Pirate Nations has done a lot to raise all the right green flags by getting #BOOTY listed on Binance, starting #BOOTY distribution in Season 2, and (above all) releasing a really fun game with multiple fun ways to play on day 1. I've hit the ground running with this game wanted to pass along what I've learned to the gamers on PeakD.

Before getting to the subject of this article there a few things I need to cover first.

Trading License Correction!

In one of my previous articles about Pirate Nation I mentioned that the Trading License needed to sell on the Marketplace was not worth buying as you unlock the ability to trade on the Marketplace natively when you reach player level 10 and this should only take about a week.

This was incorrect. You unlock the ability to trade at Captain Level 10, not player level 10. This will take you MUCH monger than a week. I have been a daily player using 100% of my energy since I started with PN and I am currently Pirate Level 15 and Captain Level 5. This means the advice I gave was flat wrong. The Trading License is a fantastic item that will continue to appreciate as more folks join the game. The price has gone from ~$135 to ~$170 in the last few weeks.

Referral Code Update

Pirate Nations has been a victim of it's own success these days. Many of us have been greeted with the following screen when trying to log in during peak hours.

image.png

The developers were quick to address this issue adding in a fast-track link for player with Founding pirates to skip the line. This was announced on Discord in the past 48 hours.

Additionally, to limit growth, the developers first raised the level requirement to unlock invite codes for friends to join before removing them entirely. Brutal.

Thankfully, in the past 8 hours they have released a new update that grants active players some codes. As referral codes of any kind, even invite codes, are not welcome on Hive Gaming please click HERE to find my page with that information if interested in trying this game.

Understanding Ship Upgrades

What is a pirate without their ship? A landlubber, that's what! I've been spending my weeks doing all I can to get established in Pirate Nations and that has meant upgrading up ship as much as possible. I started by heading to the market and purchasing a pair of what seemed like the best bang for your buck ship on offer.

Prices here have had a lot of fluctuation but, generally, have been moving up steadily.

From there I knew I needed to make my ship my own so I started saving resources to craft everything I needed to fully upgrade my ship. Now, a few short weeks later, I've reached that goal after crafting a upgraded cannon, sail, and wheel! Take a look:

Each upgraded item you add to your ship adds a powerful card to the deck you draw from in Gauntlet battles. This deck is very very important and I'm trying to do all I can get myself able to complete Hard Gauntlets ASAP.

This is worth getting started on right away as crafting these items is very resource intensive for a newer player. There is nothing here you are not going to be able to locate but stacking 25 of a resource like cotton, ore, or wood will take a bit of time and planning.

This is why I bought an additional ship. While I am not yet an expert shipcraft It's clear to me that in order to upgrade to the next level I will need two ships of my current level. I will spend the coming weeks familiarizing myself with that system so I can reach a level 2 ship as quickly as possible.

Booty Arrives.

The long awaited introduction adds fairly direct monetization to the game. Now, as season 2 begins, we're starting to earn #BOOTY for all kinds of action within the game. As #BOOTY is the native token for this game and is tradable on Binance this will the be lifeblood of the project.

All the plans I make now are to maxamize that score and the ability to produce daily income. It still blows my mind that, in the Play2Earn scene the points for these games are actual currency and this allows you to produce income, constantly be reinvesting, and/or fully cash out when you are ready to leave the project. For Pirate Nation, nothing is more important than the almighty #BOOTY.
