Hello Gamers, how are you? I hope you are doing well. Today I want to show you how the free mode works in Dakar Desert Rally. Many racing games have already implemented this free mode, such as NFS Underground and those that followed. I don't know if the Gran Turismos for PS3 and above have also incorporated it, and well, Dakar incorporates it in a very subtle way and perhaps not as useful as it seems.
The free mode proposes us to complete the search for chests within the maps selected for the races. In each sector of the map, with the help of the GPS, we must find nine chests per-sector. I suppose these prizes must be accessories, cars or something that will allow us to advance better in the story. I assume this because I did not complete the 9 chests.
The free mode is relaxing and rewarding in terms of exploration and appreciation of the landscape up to a certain point, but the search becomes tremendously tedious at a certain point. It seems that you are trapped in the same landscape over and over again. And that's when the graphics start to lose their magic, that is, the tedium is not compensated by how good the game looks, because you can't really deny that the graphics in ultra 1080p are really spectacular but as they say one thing doesn't take away the other.
I don't think I'll keep playing Dakar Desert Rally to the point of passing it, maybe I can see some more things that the game has like the online mode and advance a little in the career path of the driver, but I don't promise anything haha. It's maybe 80 Gbs that I could free up for another game, so well, I'll keep you posted, see you in a next post.

I once played a similar video game with a cousin on the PS 2, it was very good, especially because you could switch between a car or a motorcycle and no matter what, I chose the motorcycle with so many cars doing a race, it was very fun and crazy.
