The issue of inclusivity and LGBTQ+ culture in video games has become a serious, annoying, and even a source of ridicule for developers themselves. Respawn with Apex Legends is one of the most comical examples of this; the only Caucasian and heterosexual character in the game is named Toxic, while all the others are gay. It's truly laughable. The Finals is a bizarre example where you can put a woman's torso with a man's face. I really don't care what a person does with their life, or what they like behind closed doors. But for me, whether the characters are gay or not makes no difference or relevance to the story, plot, abilities, graphics, etc. I mean, if Tony Vercetti had been a ruthless gay mobster, GTA Vice City would have played out the same way, maybe even more brutally so. The point is that sexual preferences add nothing to gaming. All I see here is the corporations' interest in attracting a new customer base, hoping people with certain tastes will start playing video games. That's all.

that's funny. Was this giving the finger to the industry in a tongue in cheek sort of way? I only played for about a day and didn't really see a sexual orientation sort of angle the game could possibly have.
No, he's an official character in the game, but the developers made him as a joke. I don't know how long or when you played Apex, but this became more apparent when they started releasing the character stories. Hilarious.
it was a long time ago that I played. That sort of game just isn't for me. I only gave it a chance because of my 4 or 5 PS Network "friends" one guy has something nuts like 500 hours spent in Apex. I tried it out, it wasn't my thing. Simple enough, right?
I understand, I have a similar number of hours, almost 500 or 490 hours, something like that. But I haven't played in a long time, although I have experienced many facets of the game. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas.
