Hey, I'm a bit late to the party with sharing this, but about a week ago @deathwing announced a brand new Strategy game on HIVE Blockchain.

The game is called

CROWNREND

This logo looks absolutely fantastic!

Before I get into this, I want to make it clear that this game is really new and that as I have read, this game will be getting a lot of updates and features added. You can think of it as like ALPHA days of Splinterlands.

What is Crownrend about

Crownrend is an "incremental, semi-idle, online strategy game" by the words of Deathwing himself. It's a medieval kingdom building game, where you want to gather resources, build your army and grow your empire to be amongst the best in the lands. You will be fighting for resources with your opposing kingdoms (which is every other kingdom, because only YOU can be the best), using those resources to advance yourself towards greater strengths and of course flex your amazing kingdom leading skills on the global leaderboards.

The game seems to also already have some nice lore behind it, but I personally don't want to delve into lore before I get more attached to the game and have a kingdom strong enough that I don't feel weak when reading the lore.

Getting Started

To get started in Crownrend, you first need to acquire yourself a Kingdom, which costs $10 of HIVE.
Upon paying the Kingdom creation fee, you will have your Kingdom and you are rewarded a starter amount of 10 DENAR tokens.

At first look, into the game I instantly noticed similarities with Golem Overlord game. I think for other who have played Golem Overlord, you guys also noticed a similarity and I think that we will have an intellectual advantage in the early stages of the game.

You are popped into your Kingdom and you will firstly meet your main tools for building your Kingdom. There are 9 different stats you can upgrade as you go, which are Army Strenght, Army Tactics, Army Morale, Army Toughness, Army Speed, Army Leadership, Tax Efficiency, Mine Level & Vault Level.

I changed my levels to level 1 to show what a new player sees, but forgot to change the upgrade amounts xD
When you scroll down you will see the Battle Hall where you are free to attack anyone on the list to take away some of their precious DENAR for yourself.

Gaming

There are 2 types of token in the game DENAR & ORICHALCUM. Currently only DENAR is usable from what I understand, Orichalcum will get it's use case in future updates.

Your kingdom will generate DENAR based on your stats and you can come back and claim your revenue after every 4 hours. This is important, because depending on your Vault level, you can only store a certain amount of DENAR before you must claim it for your kingdom to keep generating more. Also all of your unclaimed DENAR is vulnerable to being stolen by rival Kingdoms!

Here are my stats after a couple days of playing, I won't delve into what each stat does for your, but you can very easily learn that information in-game by hovering your mouse over the little "i" buttons.

A personal TIP from me:
When raiding other Kingdoms, always check that your Army Strength is Higher or Equal than the other Kingdom's Army Toughness or the raid will fail.

As I mentioned, the game is in very early stages, but it's already quite fun to raid others and upgrade my kingdom. I will definitely want to get a head start for what's to come in the future.
