Nice to meet you too. The developers behind the Game Boy version did a pretty good job. I agree, I see a lot of similarities between it and the NES version here.

I cannot imagine the talent and problem solving skills it takes to do this type of thing with a console like the NES. Most are doing it with no official software development kits, just information others have shared and as a community discussed pulling together a knowledge base to work with. Just amazing.
