The Cycle:Frontier is a first-person PvPvE shooter game, some might say it's a free to play Tarkov but with a space theme, and it is.

Well, for starters, this video is a preview and not a review, I played it for about an hour and a half and I only have one word to describe this game, which is: AWESOME.

The first time you start the game, it doesn't explain very well how it is that you are in a ship landing on an alien planet, which by the way is the tutorial, and they explain the controls and mechanics of the game to you. After collecting nickel, it asks you to go to the evacuation zone to be able to call your evacuation ship and finish the tutorial, but since I was playing with a controller, pressing X (the button you are asked to press) did not trigger nothing and I had to switch to keyboard and mouse to be able to complete the tutorial, that deducts 1 point from the user experience in my opinion.

After they tell you that you have completed the mission, you are presented with a screen where they ask you to customize your character, which is called Prospector, and there are 6 predefined models which tell you that at any time you can change or you can customize.

Badum, who all this time has been talking to you on the radio, asks you to go to the bar which he runs to ask you to go to the 3 different factions that exist. Badum describes the characteristics of each faction to you and you have to accept the different missions that each faction assigns you.

Once you have accepted the three missions, Badum asks you to go back down to the planet Fortuna III to perform the missions. That's where I realized how BRUTAL this game is since it throws you into a cage among lions, so to speak, because the place where you have to land is random and each area has different levels of difficulty and loot.

I was only able to complete one of the three missions assigned to me, which was to hunt one of the most common enemies you find on the map.

When I had already completed the first mission but I said to myself “I think I can do all three missions in one game”, so I started trying to complete the remaining 2 missions, but when I am attacking several mobs, a player approaches me and shoots from behind causing me to lose all my equipment and the weapons and ammunition I was carrying with me.

For my second game, I took a common gear, without a lot of ammunition because now I knew what I was going to face when playing PvP. But to my misfortune, they beat me in battle again.

So far that's all I can say about the game, I still feel like I have several hours to play to bring you a proper review, so look forward to it.

The Cycle:Frontier es un juego shooter PvPvE en primera persona, algunos podrían decir que se trata de un Tarkov free to play pero con temática del espacio, y si lo es.

Bueno, para empezar, este vídeo es un previo y no una reseña, yo lo jugué alrededor de una hora y media y solo tengo una palabra para describir este juego, la cual es: BRUTAL.

La primera vez que inicias el juego no se explica muy bien cómo es que estás en una nave aterrizando en un planeta alienígena, que por cierto es el tutorial, y pues te van explicando los controles y las mecánicas del juego. Después de recoger níquel te pide que te dirijas a la zona de evacuación para poder llamar a tu nave de evacuación y así terminar el tutorial, pero como yo estaba jugando con un control, al presionar X (el botón que te piden presionar) no accionaba nada y tuve que cambiarme a teclado y mouse para poder completar el tutorial, eso le resto 1 punto a la experiencia de usuario a mi parecer.

Después de que te dicen que ya completaste la misión, se te presenta una pantalla en dónde te piden personalizar a tu personaje, el cual se le llama Prospector, y hay 6 modelos predefinidos los cuales te dicen que en cualquier momento lo puedes cambiar o lo puedes personalizar.

Badum, quien en todo este momento te ha estado hablando por radio, te pide que vayas al bar el cual él dirige para pedirte que vayas a las 3 diferentes facciones que existen. Badum te describe las características de cada facción y tienes que aceptar las diferentes misiones que te asigna cada facción.

Una vez que hayas aceptado las tres misiones Badum te pide que bajes de nuevo al planeta Fortuna III para realizar las misiones. Ahí fue donde me di cuenta de lo BRUTAL qué es éste juego ya que te avienta a una jaula entre leones, por así decirlo, porque el lugar en donde te toca aterrizar es aleatorio y cada zona tiene diferentes niveles de dificultad y loot.

Yo solo pude completar una de las tres misiones que me asignaron, la cual fue cazar uno de los enemigos más comunes que encuentras en el mapa.

Cuando ya había completado la primera misión pero me dije “creo que puedo hacer las tres misiones en una sola partida”, así que empecé a tratar de completar las 2 misiones restantes, pero al estar atacando a varios mobs, un jugador se acerca y me dispara por la espalda haciendo que pierda todo mi equipo y las armas y municiones que llevaba conmigo.

Para mi segunda partida, llevé un equipo común, sin muchas municiones porque ahora ya sabía a lo que me iba a enfrentar al jugar en PvP. Pero para mi mala fortuna, me volvieron a ganar en batalla.

Hasta el momento es todo lo que puede decir acerca del juego, todavía siento que me faltan varias horas por jugar para traerles una review apropiada, así que esperenla.
