It's been about 6 weeks since the launch of Amazon's MMORPG, New World. And I'd like to share with you my experience after 102 hours of gameplay, as I've played enough and finished at level 55. As I didn't make it to level limit (60), I will only pay attention to things I experienced in the game.
General
New world is an adventure MMORPG with crafting and the option to be PVE, PVP or both. Its gameplay can be compared to that of Dark Souls III, which for me is a positive point.
The story is underemphasized, the biggest contact with the story is only through the main mission and with notes around the world. In addition to a cutscene when starting the character.
Monsters have a low range of both attacks and appearances, with few changes throughout the maps. Like different names and colors to match the aesthetics of the environment.
About the environment, the game is pleasant, with an interesting aesthetic. Weapons and armor remain in a curious medieval fantasy reality. The environment is beautiful, even at low settings (compared to other MMORPGs).
The game still brings optimization problems and straining a lot of the GPUs, in this regard. What's left is to be patient and give up quality to preserve the hardware.
Leveling
The game features different ways to get EXP, such as professions, PVP, hunting Mobs and quests. The most effective way so far is the missions, however...
The quests are divided into: main, side, and board quests (Village Projects).
Main mission: It's where the main plot of the game is narrated, but it fails to restrict itself to many dialogues, little explanation and much exploration of the world, covering great distances (which gets to be boring).
Side quests: a short story involving the character you meet or sometimes not even that. With things like kill monster 'X', collect some boxes or analyze some place. Sometimes they're interesting, and they're even quick.
Board Quests: Deliver/Hunt an item from the board and return to collect your reward. In short these are the quests on the board, in exchange, the village in which you complete the quest gets a % of the progress bar on a village building or maintenance. They tend to be the ones that give the most EXP, but draining as you need to complete many of them.
PVP
I particularly like the PVP that we have in New World, but they are times of ups and downs, as it has good gameplay, but lacks in "justice", as the player who is alone (without a group of friends) is always at a disadvantage. New World's PVP is defined in:
Open World: Turn on your PVP and go out into the world facing other players with PVP turned on
Wars: 50x50 battles fighting for dominance of a region. The battle is based on siege weapons, direct confrontation, capture of flags and finally the confrontation in the fort. The problem with wars is that only a small part of players can take part, hand-picked by the guild leader.
Outpost Rush: 20x20 players fighting for points, with different objectives to gain points, with a mix of PvPvE with small posts and collecting resources. It is the PVP category that appears to be the most dynamic (but I couldn't take part as it was only in the 60s)
A future problem about conquering territories, is that it can have a total domain of only one faction on the server, being unbalanced for players of other factions.
IN GAME SCREENSHOTS
Screenshots with low settings.
Finalization
I expected more content and game balance. We also have optimization problems and a stressful level curve for the player. And it can still become an excellent game, but it needs more technical and content updates, otherwise it might end up being forgotten fast. At the moment, the game is suffering from an increasing drop in players. Finally, my grade is 5/10
Thanks for reading, see you around.
Análise de New World
Geral
O PVP de New World é definido em:
I enjoyed New World, but I'm one of the people who have stopped playing thus adding to the decrease in players.
Gathering, Crafting, and Trading is my preferred gameplay, and I just can't do that with the game's terrible economy, item duplication, gold exploits, and them turning the trading posts off and on and off again whenever they encounter yet another gold related bug.
Might try it again in a few months, but by then Lost Ark will be out... so, we'll see. 😅
Really, the bugs and economy part being hurt by the exploids was fatal to the game. Only time can tell us if the economy will adjust naturally, but on the part of developers I believe it is impossible. Just with a reset, but that won't happen.

Check out the last post from @hivebuzz:
I really want to play this game. I have read many positive as well as negative things about the game, the only thing I know is that it is quite nice and attractive, I would like to experience the gameplay, the PVP problem and the factions reminds me a lot of Albion. In Albion new players or solo players, can't advance too much in PVP, the game is dominated by big clans that expand to other clans and basically the game is theirs, even though that's what it's all about, it's not too much fun.
It's an interesting game, especially the combat part. If you don't mind being a bit excluded from PVP and you like the PVE part, I would dare to recommend it, even if I'm a little afraid
The design and graphics of the game are really impressive, I would have to enter to play to see how it behaves ...
I've always been a fan of this medieval side with armor and the traditional musket (which isn't as powerful in the game) and it was this side that ended up convincing me to play + the fact that it's an MMO with everything reset, that is, you can play from the beginning no factions and guilds dominating.
