Riding gunner on a mission

I've been playing Arma since 2016 being a part of this community is one of the best experiences I've had with gaming.
Spent most of my time in the air.
But when I was on the ground I was running as a TAC-P/J-TAC being the one who is talking to air on the radio.
I multi tasked for a few jobs that a unit has when something needed done I was always around to help if I could.
It could be with our mods it can be tricky sometimes along with helping with training.
Also helping with getting new members to join our group finding newbies or those playing for awhile and looking to get back into it.
Being a flyboy had its moments when everything goes well and plans get executed without fail.
Flying in to drop new guys to an LZ and resources they need or pulling people out then dropping them somewhere new.
Most of work for those flying is transport for everyone playing helping with logistics.
And that's the path I chose to play in this game.

video is from the unit I'm a part of [I'm in I'm the one in the Apache!!!]

Lots of funny or cool things happen when were just playing on one of our secondary servers playing liberation or a few other game modes that you have to have teamwork and cant just lone wolf it.
Using the apache is one of my favorite to fly or be gunner in.
For the reason its a beast in the air and almost nothing being able to take it down.
Me with a few other pilots never worked alone if we were flying in a helicopter flying fixed I was a lone wolf.

Blowing more stuff up

I'm going to be talking about more Arma in later posts this is kind of a sneak peak of the things I wanna talk about and a few things I have done in my 2,500 hours or so playing.

I spent most of my time in the A-10C another beast of an aircraft everyone loves

Lots of hours put in to flying doing recon for missions the only thing I would fly other then the F-35 and that's not as fun to fly in my opinion.
Acting as a ghost of the night callsign Grim 3-6 being a reaper of the sky unseen and always there.

Squad coming back from the AO

I really don't like landing if I don't have to being on mission air to air refueling is fun.
Took a few hours of practice but it become useful for operations.
I was in command of fixed wing air craft at the time and helped with rotatory aircraft as well.
Funny thing is I've have lead command for air in 1 other unit plus part of command in another before joining the group I'm in now.
So I knew how to run things in a basic sense but I got really into it with leading training and teaching others how to fly or teach new skills.
Most of the time we would just fly around in formation in the best way we could and fly at tree top level and practice landings in black hawks.

Playing on the liberation server called in someone to haul a vehicle back to base

This video is how I got the nickname wingman by another pilot in our group

One of our guys mods and made me a name tag for my flight suit

This year I'm getting back into Arma in a big way for me getting back in the community.
I will most likely not be a pilot this time thinking of spending time on the ground playing in that fashion.
Flying on the other server just for fun time to time other then that its boots on the ground for me.
I'm starting back in Arma this summer missing the friends and wanting to make new friends as well.
I enjoy the community Arma has some being toxic to some with how some play but all in all most I've meet are pretty cool people.
Also a good group for playing other games getting into RTS type games.
Or other military type games or war games there is loads to come.

I don't know much about Arma 3, but coincidentally the only stuff I do know was thanks to @solominer. A few months ago he uploaded a video creating a map and creating wars between different NPCs. It looked like a pretty crazy game.

The game looks really demanding and, 2,500 hours in a video game sounds like an overwhelming amount. I'm still not over 1k hours in a video game on Steam, lol.

I noticed that you are relatively new on Hive, so.. welcome to Hive and Hive Gaming! Thank you very much for posting your content in our community.

One thing you should keep in mind about Hive is that its social aspect is quite important. If you want to thrive within the platform and the community, taking the time to read others' posts is just as important as making quality content. Try commenting more and being more active within (and outside of) the community and you'll do much, much better.

Good luck and hope to see you more often around here :)

I enjoy playing Arma like that doing skirmishs with NPCs thats fun.
And yea lots of hours put in to Arma Its my most played game lol.
I have been exploring and navigating hive trying to see who and what is out there. Interested in getting in some of the community's in time.

You blow me away with the intelligence you show in these post about things your passionate about!
