Continuing from my previous post, in this part, I want to talk about the steps I took. It all began with a firm decision and enthusiasm. I started my research on Google in search of references, introductory information for beginners, and tips on how to get started.
I remember staying up all night watching YouTube tutorials by Adamcyounis, reading articles, and checking designs on DeviantArt and Pinterest.
I spent almost 2 months researching every information I could find on Pixel Art software programs, Ebooks, online courses (both paid and free), medium articles, YouTube videos, Social Media groups, and Pages about Pixel Art.
Literally any information I could find about pixel art I tried to study it, learn it, and try to understand.
I took lots of notes in my notebook and screenshots on my phone and laptop to review and have a deeper understanding of the art medium.
Once I was satisfied with my research, I launched out with the first step:
Get a PIXEL ART SOFTWARE PROGRAM.
I spent around $23 purchasing** Aseprite **(which is arguably the best pixel art program out there and the most recommended by professionals. I was able to bring my not only practice effectively but I followed along with the tutorials I was using.
But there was one problem…
My ART SUCKED…

TUTORIAL
I created this art dog on a 150X150 pixels canvas size. I drew the art using a silhouette on the brown base color and started fleshing it out. I have already planned the entire design in my mind and how I would want it to be.
The artwork was from a comic/cartoonish inspiration.
I then cleaned out the art by adjusting the colors and adding the details on the eyes, nose, mouth, ears.
Afterwards, I added shadows, highlights and clean-ups to make it look more detailed.
The FINAL Output....

The beginnings are difficult, you chose my favorite animation style, I hope one day you will be a full-fledged creator, you already took the initiative and that is the most important thing!!! ❤️😈
Yeah. I have been practicing a lot and hopefully I will reach Super-Saiyan level one day 😁. It may take some time but I'll surely get there.
😂 Sayayín level, well I know that you will reach the Sayayín blue level if possible 😂❤️
😄😄😄😄😄. I will work towards it. I got this term from a renowned pixel artist on X (twitter) his name is Gif. I saw it from his post and have been using it since 😁.
Yeah Saiyan Blue 🤣🤣
