Taxes continue to be (sort of?) suppressed through last week. They are still higher than they ever were compared to when I initially invested in #DCity, but short-term memory makes it feel like taxes aren't so bad anymore. You can see the trend on the chart below:
I've been able to stack SIM points with the reduced tax rates and continue to work on getting my Sim Power over 8,000. With that strategy in place, I haven't invested in cards this past week. Yet I have continued to accumulate cards with my passive income/benefit strategy. Highlights included:
- 2 trained artists
- 5 trained workers
- 1 gamer card earned through Splinterlands Fest
- 1 drone technology card
- 1 printers upgrade technology card
Despite not investing in any SIM generating cards, my net income chart looks as such:
And my SIM valuation is about back to breakeven, I think. It's been a while since I cashed in that EOS for this game:
So, what's next week's strategy for me? Here is what I am thinking:
- Finish investing and opening up any remaining technology opportunities I have
- Continue to accumulate SIM in order to get my SIM power greater than 8,000
- Run any festivals that I am able to on the side
Passive income is the name of the game; why change that strategy at this point? I continue to HODL #DCity with optimism about the game's future. I will keep sneaking in any Splinterlands or Beer Festivals as I can as the days move forward. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Splinterlands airdrop next month gives credit for holding any Dice packs...so, fingers crossed, and that I can accumulate 1-2 more packs with Splinterlandfests ahead of that day.
Until next week, thanks for reading, as always!
I'm interested in this, I don't really know much or anything about it so I will be glad if you can fill me in on how to go about it.
Yeah I'd be happy to help! Are you able to access the DCity site? I went through Peak, wallet, and the games section ...I think DCity is there as an option to choose
I don't even know such exist as gaming section, so I will check it out and give you feedback as soon as I'm done.
I see you are holding on strong, I paper handed my city some time back. Would you like to have my remaining unsold cards?
thanks! You aren't holding on with optimisim with your remaining cards??
they are already in the market, sold most of them already! Just a few remaining.
Not FUD though, just personal needs.
very nice, yeah I hear you - I too am curious to where this simulation goes to be honest

Ah, thanks man! I appreciate it! I try to keep things concise and despite the frustration of late since the 3rd Edition, I've been trying to point out the positives. I still have tons of optimism about the game.
