I used to play PUBGM back in 2018, started at the end of Season 2, got to Ace for Season 3 and 4. I wanted to rank towards Conqueror in Season 5, but the hackers wouldn't let me. So I just quit on the game and bought the real deal instead, got the PC version for a fair deal and played pubs for quite a while. PUBG surely was a classic, a revolutionary addition to the BR category of the FPS genre.
Yet, for me and my mates the journey ended a bit too fast, it started getting repetitive soon enough and then we just stopped playing. Luckily, Apex Legends was right around the corner. Apex surely felt like a "funky" game at first, but as we got used to it we started falling in love with the game. We built our own clan and played a lot of scrims and tournaments too; sadly, after about 2000 hours of Apex I chose to go solo, towards a different category. That category and game being the Multiplayer experience of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019, and soon enough I was absolutely hooked.
And now even that game is a thing of the past. Nowadays I really can't game that much either, I do get in a few hours every now and then, but it not even close to the hours of grind time I used to put into these games.
Those were good times, and you sir have taken me back to those times, a nice little throwback for me. Keep up the good work, hold onto that grind mindset and stay true to yourself and the grind. Cheers & GG 🥃☮️
I'm glad I brought a ray of nostalgia to your day. I too started in 2018 with mobile shooters although I haven't gotten bored yet, I know it will happen someday, but for now to hit it with everything. It's interesting because many of those who played PUBG switched to apex legends will it be that it transpolates very well how to play apex? I've wanted to try it, but I don't have anyone to play it with, so I'm giving up on that idea. It's cool that you don't spend time playing it like you used to, maybe you just need a title that calls your attention too much.
I guess it's that way because of the timeline and release dates. A lot of people just like to follow the trend, so it depends really.
Currently on that path, I'm hoping that MW 2 (2022) will bring me back to my grind mode.
