➤ When I talk about The Forest for me it is inevitable to think that it is something like the ultimate survival game, and for many reasons that I consider more than correct. Being a very realistic game where apart from that we will have a story, a reason to follow, a reason to survive and give a great sense to the game and above all a motivation to keep playing it, even if everything ends when we finish the story, but what can make this game better? Exactly, playing it with friends, yesterday @therealflaws and I started our first game, and there is no tree that can stay alive in front of us.

➤ The start of our game was more than perfect, especially because of the place where we appeared. When the plane disaster happens the place where we fall is random, either we can be lucky enough to fall in the most remote place of the island where our death is certain and we will not find resources or anyone to save us, or we can fall in front of the abandoned ship in the middle of a beach where some chocolates will be waiting for us that will save our lives, that was our luck. At first I wanted to make a little joke to Jean and I gave him a rock wrapped in cloth to light it on fire, but instead of doing so he gave me back the stone, it was a pretty incredible exchange of gifts. In the same way we also found there a tomb with some pictures of the ship, which has been the basis of many theories that claim that it could be the tomb of any of the members of that ship, even the captain himself, who died before the whole disaster occurred and therefore could be buried.

➤ As we all know, the biggest danger apart from starvation and loneliness on this island are the cannibals, which are a big problem, especially in the area where we decided to live. The artificial intelligence of the cannibals is really quite advanced, they fulfill many patterns such as for example that they keep scouts that have defined trajectories for several areas of the island, and we just live in a part where the cannibal scouts always pass by. Once the cannibals detect you and know where you are, little by little they will get closer, observing from afar and judging our steps, to then start attacking in company most of the time. Sometimes they leave us alone for a while but most of the time they are there attacking us. If they attack in company and we quickly kill several of them the rest will run scared and call for more cannibals. The game is full of realistic details, for example if we are full of blood and we do not wash the cannibals can detect us by the smell of blood and this also increases the chances of them attacking us constantly, they will also feel fear if we start to burn their corpses or dismember them, and if we create totems with their bodies we will be able to drive them away. They can really mean a serious danger, in fact they already killed Jean twice. Some of them are even armed with sticks and mallets. Among other things, see Jean tenderly facing the cannibals.

➤ More than the cannibals, the hunger, the loneliness, Jean burning alone with the fires for not seeing where he walks, I think the greatest danger of all is the night, here perhaps I could say that they exceeded the realism, because at night you see absolutely NOTHING. It's as if they put a stone in your eyes, it's impossible to even see where you're walking, and the miserable light of the lighter doesn't help too much. It's quite scary, even, because you can hear all the cannibals with their disgusting noises and you can't even tell where they are coming from. This is exactly why we rushed to build our house fast so we could sleep peacefully, or well, that was the idea, until we see that every time it gets dark we can't sleep immediately, but we have to wait a while to unlock the option, basically the game makes us suffer the terror of a dark night where you hear Jean screaming because he has 2 cannibals on his back, it's something I wouldn't wish on anyone.

➤ To survive we have to fend for ourselves in search of resources, food, water and all the necessary materials for new tools or constructions, in fact a rather curious detail is that the stamina in the game is very little and almost always our character will be tired if we do not keep well fed and hydrated, and we will have two bars, one light blue and one dark blue, the first is our stamina, and the second is the amount of stamina we can have, the more time we spend without eating that bar will decrease and we would end up running out of stamina most of the time, so it is very important to almost always stay with food and water to the maximum if we want to be able to run and not walk like turtles. While I take care of all the food thanks to a fish pond we have nearby and getting the pot, and I spend it boiling water on the campfire as if it were my only way of living (because it is), Jean is my slave and takes care of chopping wood endlessly, although I do that too. We can also get food from all the suitcases left from the plane, and find other important resources like cloth, watches, and medicine. By the way, every day I fear for my life, Jean almost cut a tree in my face.

➤ And now yes, the construction of our beautiful house for which we deforested half the forest, actually the house is, well, the simplest thing in the world but it cost 80 logs to make it together with all the walls that were another 80 logs more, and in fact there is still a long way to go to finish it, building is probably the most tedious and slowest... But I don't know why I want that between Jean and me we can build something giant, a fortress where we will be invincible, but probably first we will deforest the forest in the middle of construction and we will get bored of logging so much. We were constantly carrying the small carts full of logs several times, while hordes of cannibals were chasing us and we were also trying to find animals to hunt, for some reason we haven't seen the first lizard, we need armor my god.

➤ No doubt The Forest with friends is what makes the game more fun, and in fact I think that at least personally as much as I love the game and consider it my favorite survival game, I feel that playing it alone would bore me, especially because I have played it many times in the past. ➤ Cuando hablo de The Forest para mí es inevitable pensar que es algo así como el juego de supervivencia definitivo, y por muchas razones que considero más que correctas. Siendo un juego muy realista donde aparte de eso tendremos una historia, un motivo que seguir, una razón para sobrevivir y dar un gran sentido al juego y sobre todo una motivación para seguir jugándolo, aunque todo acabe cuando finalicemos la historia, pero, ¿qué puede hacer a este juego mejor? Exactamente, jugarlo con amigos, ayer @therealflaws y yo comenzamos nuestra primera partida, y no hay árbol que pueda mantenerse vivo frente a nosotros.

➤ El inicio de nuestra partida fue más que perfecto, sobre todo por el lugar donde aparecimos. Cuando ocurre el desastre del avión el lugar de caída es aleatorio, o bien podemos tener la suerte de caer en el lugar más recondito de la isla donde nuestra muerte es segura y no encontraremos recursos ni nadie que nos salve, o podemos caer frente al barco abandonado en medio de una playa donde nos aguardarán unos chocolates que nos salvarán la vida, esa fue nuestra suerte. Al principio quería hacerle una pequeña broma a Jean y es que le di una roca envuelta en tela para que la encendiera en fuego, pero en vez de hacerlo me devolvió la piedra, fue un intercambio de regalos bastante increíble. De igual forma también encontramos allí una tumba con unas fotos del barco, la cual ha sido base de muchas teorias que afirman que puede ser la tumba de cualquiera de los integrantes de esa nave, incluso el mismo capitan, que murió antes de que ocurriera todo el desastre y por eso pudo ser enterrado.

➤ Como todos sabemos, el mayor peligro aparte de morir de hambre y de soledad en esta isla son los canibales, los cuales son un gran problema, sobre todo por la zona en la que decidimos vivir. La inteligencia artificial de los canibales realmente es bastante avanzada, cumplen muchos patrones como por ejemplo que mantienen exploradores que tienen trayectorias definidas por varias zonas de la isla, y justamente nosotros vivimos en una parte donde siempre pasan los canibales exploradores. Una vez que los canibales te detectan y saben dónde estás poco a poco se irán acercando más, observando de lejos y juzgando nuestros pasos, para luego comenzar a ir atacando en compañía la mayoría de las veces. A veces nos dejan tranquilos por un tiempo pero la mayor parte del tiempo están ahí atacándonos. Si atacan en compañía y matamos rápidamente a varios de ellos el resto correrá asustados y llamarán a más canibales. El juego está lleno de detalles bastante realistas, como por ejemplo que si estamos llenos de sangre y no nos lavamos los canibales podrán detectarnos por el olor de la sangre y esto también aumenta las probabilidades de que nos ataquen constantemente, también sentirán miedo si comenzamos a quemar sus cadaveres o a desmembrarlos, y si creamos totems con sus cuerpos podremos alejarlos. Realmente pueden significar un grave peligro, de hecho ya mataron a Jean dos veces. Algunos incluso van armados con palos y mazos. Entre otras cosas, vean a Jean tiernamente enfrentandose a los canibales.

➤ Más que los canibales, el hambre, la soledad, Jean quemándose solo con las hogueras por no ver dónde camina, creo que el mayor peligro de todos es la noche, aquí tal vez podría decir que se excedieron con el realismo, porque es que en la noche no se ve absolutamente NADA. Es como si te pusieran una piedra en los ojos, es imposible hasta ver por donde caminas y la misera luz del mechero no ayuda demasiado. Da bastante miedo, incluso, porque se escuchan a todos los canibales con sus ruidos asquerosos y no puedes ni saber de dónde vienen. Justo por esto fue que nos apresuramos en construir rápido nuestra casa para poder dormir placidamente, o bueno, esa era la idea, hasta que vemos que cada vez que se hace de noche no podemos dormir inmediatamente, si no que tenemos que esperar un rato para desbloquear la opción, básicamente el juego nos hace sufrir al terror de una noche oscura donde escuchas a Jean gritar porque tiene 2 canibales en la espalda, es algo que no le deseo a nadie.

➤ Para sobrevivir tenemos que valernos por nuestra cuenta en busca de recursos, comida, agua y todos los materiales necesarios para nuevas herramientas o construcciones, de hecho un detalle bastante curioso es que la estamina en el juego es muy poca y casi siempre nuestro personaje estará cansado si no nos mantenmos bien alimentados e hidratados, y tendremos dos barras, una azúl claro y otra azul oscuro, la primera es nuestra estamina, y la segunda la cantidad de estamina que podemos tener, conforme más tiempo pasemos sin comer esa barra disminuirá y terminaríamos quedando sin estamina la mayoría de las veces, así que es muy importante casi siempre mantenerse con la comida y el agua al máximo si queremos poder correr y no caminar como tortugas. Mientras yo me encargo de toda la comida gracias a un estanque de peces que tenemos cerca y a que conseguimos la olla, y me la paso hirviendo agua en la hoguera como si fuera mi única forma de vivir (porque lo es), Jean es mi esclavo y se encarga de cortar madera infinitamente, aunque yo también lo hago. También podemos conseguir comida de todas las maletas que quedaron del avión, y encontrar otros recursos importantes como tela, relojes, y medicinas. Por cierto, todos los días temo por mi vida, Jean casi me cortó un árbol en la cara.

➤ Y ahora sí, la construcción de nuestra hermosa casa para la cual deforestamos medio bosque, en realidad la casa es, bueno, lo más sencillo del mundo pero costó 80 tronco hacerla junto a todas las murallas que fueron otros 80 troncos más, y que de hecho aún falta mucho para terminarla, construir probablemente sea lo más tedioso y lento... Pero no sé por qué quiero que entre Jean y yo podamos construir algo gigante, una fortaleza donde seeamos invencibles, pero probablemente primero deforestemos el bosque en plena construccion y nos aburramos de talar tanto. Estabamos constantemente cargando los pequeños carros llenos de tronco varias veces, mientras hordas de canibales nos perseguían e intentabamos también buscar animales que cazar, por alguna razón no hemos visto al primer lagarto, necesitamos armadura dios mio.

➤ Sin duda The Forest con amigos es lo que hace más divertido al juego, y de hecho pienso que al menos personalmente por más que me encanta el juego y lo considero mi survival favorito, siento que jugarlo solo me aburriría, sobre todo porque ya lo he jugado muchas veces en el pasado.
