Controlling death?

There came Nicholas and told Vitalis about Hugo being with them. Then Vitalis asked Nicholas to go and check whether Beatrice de Rune has regained consciousness. Hugo heard it all so he decided to follow Nicholas to get to his mother now.

Hugo was saying Nicholas is scary but he has to follow him to get to his mother so I started following the scary man from the hall room towards the prison cell through a garden where someone was congratulating Nicholas for capturing Hugo.

In the prison building, Nicholas went through a door and locked it so I had to find alternative way quickly where I noticed an alchemist was cutting through a dead body and then I reached another room where I found a lot of their guards whom they killed and was feeding their blood to some special white rats below them.

It looked like they were working on creating their own army or zombie rats.

I reached the prison area following Nicholas and there was this prisoner begging Nicholas to at least let him die out there but Nicholas said he won't like it out there and that his carcass can still be of value to their alchemists at least.

Then I noticed Nicholas talking to Beatrice and threatened her that she'd get back her voice soon.

After Nicholas left, I ran to the cell and it was really Beatrice. She got surprised seeing Hugo in there and she asked Hugo to leave this place but he said he'll stay with his mummy. Beatrice was sad knowing they took blood from Hugo.

And then Beatrice said they'll go together but Hugo will have to find the key to the lock to unlock the cell.

Now I started looking for the keys going in a room full of inquisition guards and there I heard Nicholas telling the guards that he'll need everything prepared and ready when he'll return.

There I had to release some rats from a cage to hush away the guards from this room so I can get the keys but I had to be careful as well and there I had to use some light beams to clear my paths.

At lats I found the key but before that, I passed through a cell where I noticed some dead bodies in half and the other half were probably feed to the rats. The kid was just trying to stare away.

I returned to Beatrice and after unlocking the gate, it was a heart-touching moment when the mother and son reunited after a long time. Hugo ran and hugged his mother and said no one will hurt her now.

Hugo told his mother that the voice inside his head wants him to join it and his mother understood that its the first threshold. Beatrice asked Hugo to try and control the voice so he can control the rats. I tried for a moment and I actually started controlling the rats.

It was like I was attracting the rats to somewhere and I used them to kill some guards on our way as well when we were trying to escape the castle.

But the escape game was not so easy as the Vitalis had bigger things in mind and the mother-son got caught by the inquisition guards.

The guards pushed them to a big room in front of the Vitalis where Nicholas was also with him. Vitalis was saying that Hugo is the natural carrier of the Macula and it has not yet finished with him.

Now to check how Hugo can control his power, Vitalis released a bunch of rats on the floor and sent some guards to kill Beatrice.

Now the only way I could save the mother was to use the rats on the guards and I started controlling the guards and were taking down all the guards that were coming to kill Beatrice.

Hugo started feeling unwell trying to control the rats for a long time and at last, he fell on the ground after taking care of all the guards and that's when Vitalis sent the rats to the underground again and they parted the mother-son again.
