The USB tethering option should be best for minimum latency and input lag. Driving with a gyro sensor is not for kids, it gets much more challenging. Maybe that's the whole appeal of it.

Definitely depends of the game, or at least if it is actually designed to be played like that on the phone [like the Asphalt games, or even Mario Kart Wii, technically, as it supports steering with the Wii Remote], cause it may be easier to get a small kid to understand it at first that way 😅
But otherwise...yeah, it is cool to try out racers like this [and more so with the precision it can provide while I haven't got a joystick without drift yet] but definitely harder than using a good quality joystick [or even the keyboard in the case of WMMT] - makes for a neat experience though.
I want to try F-Zero X with it too, but I'll have to see when I can do that.
