Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
In the last post, I told you how we found the End Portal and filled it with the eyes of Ender. It wasn't a smooth ride as we were short of one eye but eventually, we managed to make another trip back from home, filled the last missing slot to complete the portal, and brought a lot of potions (Slow Falling and Strength) along with golden apples and empty bottles.
We made the final preparations like setting a bed in the portal room for our respawn point, putting some extra things in the chest there and jumping right into the portal.
We both drank our Potion of Slow Falling and began destroying the crystals on top of the towers. These crystals heal the dragon so we had to burst them one by one. I had an infinity enchanted bow and it didn't take a lot of time for us. The dragon was breathing fire on us and trying to kill us.
Beril was having a tough time with all the Enderman. She was running around trying to get away from the angry Enderman.
We had a lot of empty glass bottles to collect a rare ingredient for our brewing stand, the dragon's breath. Every time the dragon perched on the middle platform and breathed fire, we would go and collect those purple particles in our bottles. We must have collected a couple of stacks each.
The slow-falling effect helped us a lot. We also had Feather falling IV boots and those were a lifesaver. This dragon was a bit annoying and occasionally threw us quite high in the air. I failed to land the water bucket trick but survived because of the feather falling and slow falling only.
I had a lot of TNTs and every time she perched down, we blew her with them. It was mostly a smooth fight. I thought it would take a long time and I was ready to die but nope. It turned out really easy with two players. This was only the second time I killed the Ender dragon in Minecraft and the first time was many years ago and it seems a bit difficult than this one.
I managed to get the dragon egg as well. I knew about the torch trick to pick it up. It would make an amazing piece of decoration for us and will be our most rare item on this server.
But we didn't jump into the portal to get back to the overworld. I wanted to go and look for some End cities and end ships to get shulker boxes and elytra.
It took us a long time to search for an End City. With the low render distance in this server, it gets tough to find one and cross these end islands.
We didn't take enough blocks with us too and using the pearls to cross all the end islands was a bit risky. You can hit the side of a wall and fall into the void.
Looting this structure wasn't tough but we were really careful. It hosts the Shukers which has a ranged attack that gives you a levitation effect. But these can be easy to counter and you can use pearls to teleport to the ground in case you are falling down.
It has one of the best loots in the game. We found a lot of diamonds and diamond gear here. Look at the enchantments on a random iron shovel.
It was not a big one and didn't even have the floating Ship which has the Elytra. We found this after a long time and were tired and afraid to lose our items like the shulker boxes. So, we decided to head back and come here again more prepared with a lot of building blocks, food and other things that we were running out of.
Luckily, we didn't have to walk back and found a portal near this Endcity. You can pearl into it and get back to the starting dragon island.
On our way back to our house, we caught some tropical fish. We called them Nemo! These would look good in our pool.
Our pool now has a lot of interesting fish. We are slowly filling it up with different kinds of fish. I know there are many types of tropical fish in the game now. I think they can make thousands of unique combinations and we are not even thinking of catching all the different kinds of fish.
We may need to put some more lights in this pool. It looks quite dark from the inside.
Anyways, killing the Ender Dragon is such a big achievement for us. This was the first one for Beril and the second time for me. First time in this survival world. I expected it to be much more challenging than that but I guess, two players made it significantly easier even though the other player was mostly messing with the Enderman. xD

What an epic adventure! and congrats on slaying the dragon. It sounds like the teamwork and planning paid off and I'm glad to see you didn't try to slay Beril in the game as well, lol.
I had to disable PVP so I don't accidently kill her lol.

it's frustrating to read and not know what the game itself is about, that's annoying, but it's worse to know that what you're narrating is exciting. I had the opportunity to play minecraft but for some reason I never got hooked and that happened many years ago, now I know that most of the community of players play it and bring their experiences here and I usually find it hard to understand what they are talking about. That sucks 😣
Sometimes when I am narrating these experiences, I think that a lot of players already know about the game and I might be overexplaining things so sometimes I tend to not explain as I should. But that's the interesting bit, you never know if an expert of the game is reading your post or someone who hasn't played it. It's a tough choice to make.
About not getting hooked on the game, it happened to me too when I started playing this a few years ago. I tried Minecraft, just because everyone else was playing it so I thought let's give it a chance and then I played it for a while but didn't like it. Then after a few months, I gave it another chance and learned a few things and then somehow it clicked and I couldn't stop playing. I don't know why I liked it the second time, probably because I saw some videos and understood some things about the game. lol
Your comment is very wise and you are absolutely right, I think it is something that happens to all of us. Since I'm back again I've seen a lot of fairly new games that I don't even know and usually the players narrate their experiences, that's when I'm left adrift but still I always look for ways to share some comment and leave a little love, that's always good.
At least that second time around you came in with a little more knowledge and somehow ended up liking it.
I for example had the opportunity to enter with some friends at that time, they knew a lot of things, they knew what to do and although they were explaining me everything, I never ended up liking the game, after a few days I left it and never played it again
